Is it possible for there to be an Eliksni Guardian?
In the ghost stories lore book there is an instance where a ghost finds its guardian. However, because the body of said guardian was underneath the body of a Vandal, it causes the ghost to be confused. It raises the question: Can there be an Eliknsi Guardian?

1 ReplyI don't see any reason why there couldn't be any Eliksni Guardians. Whether we'll ever see any, is another question. I'd personally love it.

1 ReplyIf we follow how Hawthorne is considered a Guardian by the Vanguard, then yes, it is entirely possible; if we actually go the Hawthorne route, then Mithrax would already classify an an unofficial Guariand. An Eliksni Lightbearer, on the other hand, is a completely different case. We have only one -recent- known case of a lightbearing individual who wasn't human, and that was Ghaul; obviously, his acquisition of the light was not a natural method thus is highly improbable to happen again. For an Eliksni to become a Lightbearer similar to humanity, I do not think it is impossible, but I do think it will either be a single case or very, very, [i]very[/i] low odds among the remaining Eliksni.

Chelchis saved his people from oryx and sacrificed himself. So he has the qualities. But his corpes is on riis. Eramis is a good contender. Devotion to her people and building a city. Wanting to grant powers to her people. She sacrificed by being corrupted by the darkness but her willingness to go on shows Devotion even if it might look like obsession to us. And she isn't dead or just frozen but if she was dead then she make a good contender. Mithrax would be an obvious choice. He sacrificed that ether filter and gave it to us. Even in spite of most of the Eliksni he chooses the traveler, that shows Devotion. He made unlikely allies and probably sacrificed a great deal as a result. I'm surprised the traveler hasn't made Eliksni guardians. It would show them the traveler still cares and that the light is in everything. We would probably get them on our side. Some of them witnessed the whirlwind and could provide us valuable intel.

I believe at the end of the Red War the Emperor used the travelers light to become a guardians(Technical terms.) Plus if the Eliskni can wield the darkness it should be no problem wielding the light if they were blessed by it once before. It's kinda like why would one species be able to use It and not another?

4 RepliesAt one point Awoken weren't considered to be guardians. I fail to see how any faction couldn't have a guardian eventually. The difference is what the Traveler would want one for. But yes, I don't how a Cabal, Hive, Eliksni, or otherwise COULDN'T be a guardian...

It's possible, has the Eliksni were once children of the traveler If an Eliksni sacrifices itself , it's possible a ghost could choose it I want a Eliksni class , they would have to tweak some gameplay mechanics for it to be possible,but I want to slice some Hive with 4 arc blades -

Possibly, but at the same time maybe other species are automatically excluded. It could be that humanity is the most diverse known "race" in the universe and perhaps there's some unique aspect regarding our wide diversity of thought that other Destiny races don't have (even though they clearly all have it), and that is what encouraged the Traveler to choose humanity as its last and greatest argument against the cosmic min-maxer we know as the Darkness.

Is it possible? I'd say yes. There's no real special reason the Traveler made humans into Lightbearers other than the fact the Traveler got tired of running. Personally i think we'll get Fallen Lightbearers in the far future.

However, because the Traveler kind of abandoned the eliksni and since then they have “fallen” from their golden age glory, there might be a longer road for them before they start to get risen from their species. Although, Mithrax and house light might be taking steps in the right direction, not actively attacking the traveler or those it’s creations protect, and attempting to make a stable civilization on their own without it, they might be the first. Although if that doesn’t matter the first eliksni risen might end up like the warlords of the dark ages, but slightly more dangerous since leading a whole band of arachno-humanoids has more potential than leading a band of humanoids.]

5 RepliesPretty sure Fallen had Guardians of their own during their time before the Whirlwind or whatever it was. It would be interesting if Humanity lost the Traveler too and we had to use machines to gain lifeforce, a Techno subclass hmm? Anyways yeah I think it's completely based on ehat culture the Traveler wants protection from.

3 RepliesIn one of the stories in the lore book: Ghost Stories, there actually IS a Eliksni guardian. The lore page tells of a ghost who has been searching for their guardian for a long time, and finally discover that the guardian is an Eliksni.

The traveler took back its power and left and they chased after it. The the official story behind them and it’s the reason they are called fallen. The traveler deemed them unworthy of the power.
