If you're like me and many others, you could not stand the Trials playlist prior to matchmaking changes. This means that the beautiful Exile armor sets were out of your reach (unless you suffered through terrible matches). What I would like to see, is the Exile armor sets introduced into end-of-match random loot as long as you win the match, as well as the armor being available to purchase from Saint-14 with Trials tokens either directly (like how you can buy Crucible armor from Shaxx) or from turning in the tokens for engrams. I know I'm going to get the typical "should have been better at the game" messages, but all I want is that armor set, and I wasn't going to suffer through the horrid matchmaking to get it.

Totally agree
-
I agree they should reintroduce the exile armor back into destiny. bc that new chest piece is not the best thing ive seen.
-
2 RepliesI agree very much. I missed a lot of trials and I always wanted to get the trials armor for my warlock(still the best armor for Warlock in my opinion). Now that season 15 is here and there is many changes in trials, it would definitely bring me and many players back if we could still get old trials armor! Therefore, come on Bungie😭 I’m praying that I can get that Anubis looking helm for my warlock in September 10th.
-
Well I agree with most in the post, I don't think you should be able to get it in the new pool of loot in the engram at least, as more armor means less weapon rolls aka making potential godrolls even harder to aquire. But yes you should be ablen to directly buy it, or have it drop randomly from wins.
-
2 RepliesI just want power level disabled in trials
-
1 ReplyIf you didn’t play for it, no you should not just get it. Also match making in trials has not changed, people are just playing it more for the loot. If you have gotten the armor then sure, put in like a legacy engram you can choose to get from Saint-14 for tokens. We shouldn’t have 10 pieces trials armor and 5-7 weapons in one engram, it’d make getting well rolled weapons a pain.
-
1 ReplyShould be the new comp armor because comp literally has no reward now that the quests are gone
-
I’ve been thinking about this maybe they should offer the old armor as random drop after matches or even behind the comp playlist it’s basically only cosmetic so who cares might as well.
-
This is a good idea, also I think that if you get it to drop you should just be able to buy even without tokens like how the vanguard and crucible armor is maybe. And each week change the rolls too. I don’t like how I have to get three wins just to turn in my old tokens from last week either. If the map or loot isn’t good I tend to not want to play trials that week.
-
10 RepliesAn excellent Idea. And below, we see an array of Gatekeeper's trying to defend the exclusivity of the loot. Y'all are the reason Trials is Trash.
-
I would like them to revert back to the D1 system when it comes to armor. Have a flawless set that is exclusive for flawless players in the given year, then the next time new armor is introduced, old armor gets added to the non-flawless loot pool. This allows there to be something for casual players to chase while providing more exclusive flawless loot. It's a win-win.
-
26 RepliesThat's how it should be. They are no longer the coveted sets for the 3,5,7,Flawless wins. So they should be now alongside the previous trials weapons dropping as random End of match rewards. WEITHER YOU WIN OR LOSE. It would certainly populate the playlist better.
-
9 Repliesfun fact: trials was bugged last week. so NOTHING DROPPED except for the hammer engram or the adept weapon chest at the lighthouse

If you're like me and many others, you could not stand the Trials playlist prior to matchmaking changes.
What changes? Trials today is the same mm its been...
This means that the beautiful Exile armor sets were out of your reach (unless you suffered through terrible matches).
There was nothing wrong with matches, if you couldnt hit 3 wins it's on you 100%
I know I'm going to get the typical "should have been better at the game" messages, but all I want is that armor set, and I wasn't going to suffer through the horrid matchmaking to get it.
Then what makes you think you earned it? "I want raid loot but I wasnt going to suffer through lfg, let a vendor sell it for glimmer now" yeah totally.....
-
I read this as... Let Ikora reward Trials Exile armor for bounty completions.
-
In d1 the original set would randomly drop as end of match rewards, while the new set was obtained through bounties, wins, and flawless. That should come back.
-
3 RepliesDon’t bother with these white knights - they’re here to flex their “lack of sympathy” for someone who isn’t even asking for any. Feedback is feedback. I personally think this is a great idea, and hope they implement a way of getting it. It is insane to me that the “community” that is the players of destiny 2 are way more concerned with their peers not being able to get something than they are with the game items being possible to attain and not time-gated.
-
9 RepliesAs much as it’s a good set it’s an old set from D1. I like this new set a lot more, but I think that the old ones should be offered either as participation rewards (trading in tokens, bounty rewards, end of match, etc.) or through an upcoming pve activity. Something akin to the trials of the nine armor offered through prophecy.
-
4 RepliesIt was in the game for a year, in D1 for a year, and available to everyone at some point via the participation trophy bounty. No wins necessary. The new armor hasn't even been completely released yet and you want the pool diluted with the old armor again?
-
I've always felt they could treat it like leviathan tokens - you can buy things on rotation provided you have completed a card. I think it needs separating from wins as this would bring players in who would not otherwise borrow. Relatively low stat armour is still desirable for people wanting to complete a set - especially so ahead of transmog. The current trials reward structure is so, so bad. D1 and the post game loot drops made it worth playing even if you were bad. You could still have fun and be rewarded. Now, not much fun and meagre rewards.
-
You know, when I want to rock the full Exile armor, I go on D1 where I actually cared enough to get the entire set.
-
1 ReplyI think that’s great. That way you get something even if you don’t win three games. I don’t want them in the engram loot pool though because that would be a double chance of getting armor from them, which is annoying if you just want guns.
-
What matchmaking changes? The set was available from the 3 win bounty just like the new stuff....
-
3 RepliesEdited by Insatiable: 3/23/2021 4:14:51 PMAll armor pieces were at 3 wins at one point or another . Meaning you didn't have to win but just throw if you really wanted to , in order to get the armor pieces by way of bounty. You didn't have to suffer through anything. It was just your choice to not be involved in the playlist , and thus not involve yourself with armor pieces that had been available for a year essentially. Sounds like a personal problem and not one of any high priority .
-
7 Repliesadding more loot to trials is like adding icing to a piece of crap nobody wants nobody plays it, stop focusing any dev efforts or rewards on it
-
I'm at the same place as you. Didn't play trials at all when the set was available, only played to get the shotgun the second week and that was it. Now that I've become a bit better at PvP and actually had some fun this weekend while going for the HC(impossible I know), the armor set is gone. Would love to see it come back, especially since we'll be getting transmog next season
