Damn bro. Do u realize something? The amount of time u spent wailing on here, even if u put in half the time to get a couple of pinnacles done, u would be much closer to accessing the gm nf?
I bet u logged in at reset, looked at the challenge, IMMEDIATELY logged out and ran to the forums with ur keyboard and mountain dew. Screw playing the game, imma play on the forums all day every day and get some virtual internet support.
Just make a post about awarding bright dust for wasting time on the forums. In a couple weeks u can even buy out the entire bungie studio!

And yet bungie has responded to community complaints by lowering the power climb next season. Yeah they said they were going to address it last summer... Power climb is boring AF, that's the issue.
-
After reset I spent ALL day getting pinnacles and leveled up by two, it's not about GMS being hard. It's about the grind to be able to launch GMS is so long and boring.
-
50+ days left man. U can easily get there. Keep going.
-
Did you not pay attention to the guy? He said it's long and boring, not that he couldn't do it.

I am able to meet the 1325 requirement for GMNF on all three of my characters, and yet even I agree with the OP that this particular weekly challenge was unwarranted. First, it’s not just that it’s unfair to players who are unable to enter the activity because they are below 1325. It’s also annoying to players like me that I can’t undertake the challenge (at least this week) with many of my regular clan mates who play less and are still leveling. Also, GMNF is akin to Flawless in Trials. I personally think it is more difficult than the RAID. It therefore seems like an exceptionally difficult requirement compared to any earlier challenge, and designed to foster a lot of grief at the expense of entertainment. You are certainly free to disagree, and I will respect your opinion. But that is my own. IMHO, this challenge should have been included in Week 1, when it literally was unattainable by the entire player base. That would have provided notice to everyone that it was going to be a requirement for completing all weekly challenges by season’s end, and given Guardians more of an incentive to be at 1325 by this week (when GMNF first became available). In fact, why even call if a “weekly” challenge when in no uncertain terms it in actuality is a “seasonal” challenge for much of the player base? Anyway, those are my opinions. I won’t fault you or anyone else if you feel differently.

Akin to flawless in trials? Lmaoooo have u ever even played trials? Bro what are u smoking? And can I have some of that stuff? With cheaters, recovs, and people playing balls to wall (cant blame them), good luck getting a flawless if u are even an above average player. Compare that to gm nfs. Hit 1325 and camp the entire nf with scouts snipers. 40 min run if u go slow. Fail? No problem just restart. Fail in trials on the flawless game? back of the abysmal line u go.

My use of “akin” was intended to convey that GMNFs are exceptionally difficult to complete compared to other D2 activities. That’s particularly true of Trials too, as you point out. If you think GMNFs are relatively easy, that’s fine with me and very much kudos to you. I would note, though, that presently there is no mechanism like trading wins in Trials in order to go Flawless that will likewise achieve a GMNF completion. That being the case, my post was never intended to denigrate a legitimate Flawless achievement.

My opinion as well. No disrespect meant.
-
Fr sad, way too much whining
-
To be fair I have played non stop since season launch and only soooooorta stopped a week or two ago while still logging in to do a few things here and there.... and I’m only 1315 highest. He’s not wrong. I would love to play a highly challenging activity. Just not one that takes the whole season to enter at the lowest level possible to be then destroyed over and over again with no chance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a no-lifer Destiny player. But this is definitely a step to far for seasonal challenges supposed to be able to be completed by everyone. No matter of level and time.
-
Had you actually did all your pinnacle activities each week on one character you would already be there.
-
I play once a week and im 1320.
-
You're a no lifer but only 1315. I work full time yet 1329, something doesn't add up.
-
You could have had better luck with your drops
-
Definitely possible. Not even doing half of my pinnacles tho. Even with bad drops someone no lifing should be atleast 1305+ just on basic pinnacles. Not to mention all the xp from no lifing the game so a huge bump in power from the artifact.
-
Then you power grind hard. I don’t focus on Pinnacle activities. I do Crucible and Gambit. And then of course when needed Battlegrounds. If I was a 1310 (no artifact) then I would be 1325 (with artifact.) To which then I’m the lowest thing possible going against tons of champions and team wipe = restart.
-
Sounds like you don’t know how GMs even work. Everyone is capped to 1325.. the guy with +30 seasonal level isn’t any more resilient than someone just hitting +15
-
Seriously? I actually didn’t know that. I feel like that makes it even more dumb 😂😂😂
-
I don't really power grind hard tho. Especially this season I've been pretty casual. Usually with good luck I'm pinnacle cap 3 weeks in the season. I just play the game lol. I do raid/trials tho so that could be the difference.
-
I’ve been slacking on my raids tbh. Just so annoying doing the same exact things over and over again. Wish they would have a sort of variety to them to make them feel different. Like Menagerie, multiple different encounters but same boss or something like it and then maybe for Day 1 it would be a set stream of encounters or something, idk. Just blabbering on... but ya Trials is usually my go to for high power drops. Haven’t been able to go there since everything... you know...
-
Which of course another problem for me is my main source of pinnacles are raids and Trials. Mainly trials. And then raids whenever I fell like doing them. Although Trials really hasn’t been out like this whole season lol
-
Pinnacle luck. That's what doesn't add up. And finding people to do the endgame activities that grant +2 pinnacles since the top 15% like to close themselves off and not play with anyone else anyway. Good luck having one DSC clear and finding and LFG when they're all 20+ clear requirements.
-
I'm not even grinding pinnacles like I usually do lol. I'm still 1309 on 2 of 3 characters. Pinnacle bad luck would not leave him 10 ll lower than me. Also you can create your own lfg group with requirements like new to raid looking for similar or sherpa, you will guaranteed get a group with patience. Hell I usually do day 1 raids with my clan but due to me working that day and not getting on till 6 hours after it launched I lfg'd it. (And completed) Problem is people either expect a carry or are intimidated by lfg because people want a certain clear amount. I sherpa but sometimes I dont have time to teach or carry so I look for an experienced group, or make my own. A little effort and honesty goes a long way.

You're capped at 1325 no matter how high you get your light. My group did it today took 3 attempts ( 2 if you don't count the one where one of us got kicked at the spider tank and 2 of us still almost killed the boss). My point is the ppl doing it are completing it at the minimum light as well. Anything LL higher is for kicks.
