Firstly a challenge should be challenging. So when something is out of reach it allows you to work towards that goal. Not like most of the seasonal weeklies that are, reset, done, click.
Secondly, you only need to do 75 of the 77. This would allow more casual style players to skip the grandmaster nightfall one - Conquest of the Mighty and the trials round wins one - Trial by Firing Squad in week 8, and still be able to finish that Seasonal Challenge - Master of All.
It is nice to have something that is hard to do for many.

While true, this doesn't really change the fact that these challenges were ostensibly created to replace weekly bounties. Weekly bounties were never gated like this, so its a net loss for the vast majority of the player base.

I would disagree 100%. This season I have not played anymore or differently than any previous season. And now at week 6 I am at 125 season rank and sitting on around 22k bright dust. Neither of those has happened before in any previous season. There is zero net loss.

You can disagree but that doesn't make what you said true. Your anecdotal experience aside, there are far more players not able to enter this activity than are. You also did not obtain 22k bright dust this season. That is a cumulative total and you know it. Do not be disingenuous, it weakens your position

You're right I started the season with roughly 4k. So even still with that, I have earned more this season than in previous just doing weekly bounties that were a horrible grind most times.

You have all season to access GM nightfalls. Also, they didn't replace anything. Weekly bounties were gotten rid of due to complaints of bounty fatigue. So now we have something new in seasonal challenges that go live each week. If you wanted to get to 1325 then you would. Unfortunately not everything in this game is for everyone to do. And again there are those two throwaway challenges so you can still get the Large Bright Dust Pile from doing 75 of them.

There is no such thing as pinnacle luck. Just play the game. These activities drop a +2 pinnacle each week, none are difficult and they will always raise your LL. Six easy pinnacles a week. Master Empire Hunt Harbinger Quest Presage Quest Exo Challenge Prophecy Dungeon clear Nightfall Ordeal 100k score 🤔
