Seriously there is no disadvantage for invading with a weapon with tracking or a weapon with no damage drop-off

2 RepliesImagine taking Gambit seriously 😏 Any sane person would just be thankful if the games ended as quickly as possible.
-
Just need to remove the Wall Hacks and crappy bosses ie The Stupid Eyeball

Edited by vitisku1: 3/17/2021 10:15:23 PMTracking is only a problem if you’re running around in the open while an invader is present. If you’re doing that, then you’re probably going to get killed by any other weapon as well so needing tracking isn’t really going to help much. Seriously though, what, in your opinion, would be an appropriate way to nerf tracking rockets? I mean, the rocket either tracks or it doesn’t, it’s not a perk that operates in degrees. Not to mention that Tracking is a perk intended solely for pvp. It has zero utility in pve. Making it track less, whatever that means, would make it a redundant perk. Again, it either tracks or it doesn’t.

Get behind a wall and 3 peek, there you just countered truth and eyes of tomorrow.
-
All good. The Swarm will still 4 piece your team easily.
-
The only ones I have a problem with are eyes of tomorrow and truth and simple fix to see less of both of those is to rebuff sleeper and queen breakers bow maybe not where they were in their hay day but that's my suggestion.
-
Fun fact. You can avoid them if you git gud nub :)
-
3 RepliesStrafe.
-
its easy to avoid them i invade with bad omen with tracking and cluster and smart people dont get hit by it. i get more kills on my scout rifles invading than heavy
-
4 RepliesRemove light level enabled bs and it wouldn’t matter in the long run.
-
That's fine with me, don't need tracking when you have xenophage 😂
-
3 RepliesAh yes nerf the gun that was nerfed on release and further nerfed by “accident”
-
3 RepliesPlay MindCraft, maybe?

Equip a tracking weapon yourself and learn the invader spawns. When you hear the invasion alert, immediately determine which spawn it is (you figure that out with time, generally it’s the spawn furthest away from your team) and be scoping in on that area with a tracking rocket launcher, sniper, LFR, or a good scout if you’re bold. Works great.
Sorry, all out of salt.
-
I don’t mind it much anymore. With the introduction of Eyes of Tomorrow, less people are using Truth. Eyes of Tomorrow is way easier to avoid than the Truth (pun intended).
-
isn't that the goal of invading?
-
Tracking weapons works both ways. Don't think nerfing them would really be a good idea. It's just as easy to use Truth, Xeno, or Eyes on an invader. I'm not great in Gambit but if you're positioned well you can use Jotunn or Truth to catch an invader off guard. It would be more impactful to overhaul the mode itself.

1 Reply*reads title* I'm not saying I disagree, but how?
No seriously, how??? Is it even possible for them to change tracking/aim assist values on weapons between PvE and PvP in this game?
-
LMAO....had an invader last night pop in and watch my Royal Entry track him as he tried to jump off a ledge behind cover....so satisfying lol.
-
Why use tracking weapons when you can just use xenophage to kill enemies across the map?
-
Ask for nerf Eyes of Tomorrow no thank
-
1 ReplyThey should nerf the meatball and leave those poor nerds alone. 😂
-
Nerd tracking isn’t very reliable on my weapons. 😎
