I just don't understand why any PvP mode has to be this complicated. Or as complicated as trials is now for that matter. All of the talk about trials is about how to hand out weapons and not about the actual playing of the mode. Just the whole climate around it is a recipe for disaster. The top trending thread is basically a defense of win trading. What kind of bizarro world of PvP is this? I guess you're right though, the only way to fix it is to have it so that playtime leads to "flawless" but probably shouldn't call it that.

So that you can earn your 3-5-7 awards, with some addition for opening the chest. But as you build upon the tiers, and reach +3 that’s considered flawless for that week on that character. Which I think is fair. Losing becomes more punishing as well, but even still; it doesn’t completely ruin your play time. Let’s be honest; we’re never going to get that Top Notch experience we once had. The integrity of the game mode has long since been stamped on, and broken. Cheaters, traders, recovs, streamers, sweats, and so no. The mode just isn’t working in its current state. So in order to make it work for the majority of players, the mode needs to be easier. Loot needs to be easier.

Its just all wrong. Even as far as the way you lump "streamers" and "sweats" in with cheaters and recovs. There's just something about this game that I can't quite put my finger on just yet to where the PvP dooms itself almost from the beginning. Especially with something that is so obviously set up to create superstars like trials. No offense meant with the streamers and sweats comment btw. Its just that there's a kind of general attitude towards PvP where its totally acceptable to put all of those different types of undesirable qualities into the same group and I'm not sure if its good for PvP to cater to that. It might be "good" for the game as a whole, but is it good for the PvP as a whole? At what point does PvP start to become nothing but a loot distribution service if the way it works is going to constantly be dictated by people who don't like PvP to begin with? But like you said, no one really gets hurt by doing it like this. I just don't see how it contributes to gameplay evolution over time. I honestly feel like it detracts from PvP becoming more competitive and fair to have it be all about handing out handouts with no real incentive to improve.
