The drop rates on the new Strike, Crucible, and Gambit weapons has been abysmally low. Even with Prosperity perks equipped on my ghost, I've only had 1 Trinary System Fusion Rifle drop from Gambit after an entire infamy reset so for me about 40-60 matches. Only 1 Third Axiom after a week of non stop grinding double reward Nightfall's. I just don't get it. The perk pools of these weapons are so vast that the chances of getting a god roll, or even a decent roll at that will be astronomically high. I don't know about others but, for myself I'm less likely to go grind the playlist activities for these weapons. The drop chances for these weapons are insulting and do not respect my time. This I predict will ultimately force people away from the playlists instead of reinvigorating them. No one is asking for Sundial levels of loot showering since these weapons aren't going anywhere, but again respect our time Bungie. We love your game and, all we want is loot. GIVE US LOOT!

I've gotten probably 15-20 Frozen Orbit's. Not a single one with snapshot
-
8 RepliesYou should read the TWAB once in awhile instead of skimming the responses. Bungie is aware and is planning on increasing the drop rate.
-
Strike drops seem fine but I see the bottom dollar problem. Doesn’t help that gambit sucks
-
Of course they are, what makes you think Bungie will ever reward you with a god roll frozen orbit for investing time in their game. What makes you think a God Roll Bottom dollar will help you beat that person rocking an Adept Igneous that they AFK farmed. What makes you think Bungie give a shit enough to take loot away from these people and into the hands of people who actually care and play the game. There too busy thinking up emotes for eververse to care about how the complete loot structure in the game is falling apart piece by piece.

1 ReplyI find it funny that they prefer to fix the frostbite glitch but that got a work around again within an hour but they can’t change a simple dr %. They’d rather no one got the free raid chest than everyone have strike loot. Bungie feels like all the departments have no sync between them. Design team make decent weapons that we badly need after sunsetting that fill the gaps but the investment and play test team decide that you must play at least 1000 strikes per 1 playlist drop. Then the team in charge of the perk pools didn’t get that info so they stuck 12 perks in each column assuming that these weapons would drop often so they could put more perk possibilities to the guns. What a mess.

3 RepliesEdited by ghostx78x: 3/16/2021 2:45:31 PMI agree they drag the grind past the good point. If youre like me, you’ve done countless master nightfall’s, strikes, control matches in crucible, and reset gambit infamy at least a few times... Number of god rolls from all of the new weapons 5 weeks through the season??? One. It’s the same with the raid- I have about 50 clears and still don’t have a god roll heritage and I have spent probably 500 spoils just on heritages. I stop caring about getting a god roll after a month of grinding. If they drop 6 months later there is zero excitement. Bungie is missing the window where loot makes the game exciting and rewarding time put in. I will not give a crap if I finally get a God roll Bottom Dollar at the end of the season or especially next season. The gun is already old news. They are fixing the drop rates at the END of the SEASON! So what? I can get more with trash rolls like the 5 I’ve managed to get to drop through 3 resets? So I can get a firmly planted/unrelenting with alloy magazine and fluted barrel!!! Lol Bungie plz listen

I got 3 Keenings in 6 matches today lol

Welcome to gamble gearing! Gambling ruins any game it infests/infects and corrupts.
-
I played Gambit ALL DAY yesterday on all 3 characters reset infamy and went over another 4K and didnt get one Bottom Dollar. The rng in this game is abysmal. Bungo doesn't remember that this is a game not a job.
-
9 RepliesJust announced that this update will increase the drop rate, and they plan on adjusting it even further during the next season.
-
3 RepliesI've been hammering gambit for a decent crowd pleaser the trouble is the 'drop anywhere from anything' items are more frequent i.e. Temptations Hook, Night Watch, seraph weapons etc and this loot pool is huge. My best guess is the drop rates for the new Gambit weapons are around 5% then a 1/3 chance of which one you're getting (bottom dollar, trinary system, crowd pleaser) and then the astronomical odds of actually getting a roll you want. So whats that... A chance of one in half a million? It's pretty bad.
-
20 RepliesYes they are. But just remember, Outriders is right around the corner. @Bungie
-
When you do full Gambit reset series and only get 1 Bottom Dollar dictates theres a massive issue with the weighting on the rng.
-
2 RepliesI'm just perplexed why and how people don't know RNG and it's curated weighting is literally the whole point of this game's reward structure.
-
7 RepliesEdited by Kenshiro_Gr: 3/16/2021 12:45:59 AM5 infamy resets - one bottom dollar . I rest my case
-
4 Replies*quietly sweeps all the dismantled bottom dollars under the rug*
-
I'm rank 11/17 in Gambit and every packages I got were random world gear... I PLAY GAMBIT FOR GAMBIT GEAR BUNGIE! I basically gave up on ever getting a Bottom Dollar. Its drop rate feels so low and knowing my luck, I'll get a shitty roll on it anyway...

Honestly, these playlist-specific weapons seem to me like they were thrown together with little thought. Wide-open perk pools? Super-low drop rate? It screams minimal effort to get it out the door and say "done! we're listening". No one thought that those two things would collide in a disaster?
-
intentional so they can up the drop rates next season and say we're listening.
-
3 RepliesThey have every reason again to ignore these requests because we do not have sun-setting and we still have infusion.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 3/16/2021 12:47:20 PMWhat should actually worry you is that somewhere, someone / a group of individuals thought "this is fine". Personally cant be suprised anymore. Bungo has years of track record showing they either unintentionally or not are unable to grasp what's a sensible amount of loot and rewards that respects player time. If I had to throw a wild guess, somewhere someone probably did a small pea-brain and thought along the lines of that since sunsetting's getting removed and since these playlist guns are supposed to drive engagement in a non-targeted way for a long time, a 0,00000...03% chance for a 5/5 roll is fine. Just another day at the office. Carry on. That they are allegedly fixing it in future doesn't really matter. Point's that bungo always always misfires first in a similar fashion or another, ends up having to try some fix or another if there's enough community backlash, then manages to not learn a single thing and repeats a similar mistake or another a couple months later. Someone / a group of individuals will think "this is fine" again with some other concept next season and light the forums yet again like a welding torch stuffed into a black powder keg. See you at the weekly reset.
-
3 RepliesTbh I’m not too concerned since bungo said they’re planning to increase drop rates, but yeah it is annoying. Feels like the Eyasluna drop rates back in D1, no matter how much I played I could never get one to drop ;-;
-
According to what others say they know about this and will fix it but who knows when, im with you and am sick of grinding when I getctime off work just to be rewarded with sunset gear or all blues.
-
Possibly patched today 🤞
-
But just look at those playtime numbers on the weekly report. Players just cant turn this game off!!!!

1 ReplyThe Third Axiom and Royal Entry are so rare I've only gotten one of each to drop. Terrible rolls, but they are so aesthetically pleasing I use them anyways. The Third Axiom's sight is perfect, if I could get it to drop as many times as I've gotten Stars in Shadow I'd be a happy man. Stars in Shadow is the worst feeling pulse in the game imo, and I can't get it to stop dropping. Even decent rolls with high handling isn't enough to salvage it. I made the mistake of looking at the perk pool of Royal Entry after getting my first one to drop. It could easily be the best legendary rocket launcher in the game with the right roll. No matter how much I play I just can't get it to drop again, just like Third Axiom. I've gotten 10 to 12 Bottom Dollar drops though, if I could give them away I would.
