The Fireteam Rejoin Exploit and the Hakke emblem exploit for win-trading have caused Bungie to cancel Trials at least twice now (and probably again next week if it persists), and I've seen people who have been doing Trials legitimately who have suffered from these cancellations because of the people who refuse to do it legitimately.
To which I say to those who have used the exploits to go "Flawless" and get the adept loot: Is it really worth it for you? Is it worth it for you to cheat your way to triumphs and loot that other people shed blood and tears to acquire because you're lazy? Is your selfishness and greediness to get the best loot, WITHOUT PUTTING IN THE EFFORT, really worth ruining any potential enjoyment or satisfaction of effort everyone else puts into the game mode?
Win-trading in Trials is no different from cheating and should be treated as no different. If people are willing to use these exploits to game the system and get the loot they didn't earn the proper way, I say Bungie should implement a ban for these same people for future Trials content or crackdown on the exploit in some other way (e.g. lock the ability to join fire-teams in the middle of Trials matches).

2 RepliesJust Get Rid Of PVP Altogether.
-
If trials wasn't nothing but a sweat fest this wouldn't be an issue. Hopefully it'll be healthier when bungie adds matchmaking to it.
-
9 RepliesGet rid of cheaters. Get rid of recovs. Make all trials rewards more accessible. Fix all the real issues with trials and the results(win trading) of the real problems will go away. If they ban win traders, you gotta ban 12-9 man exploiters too.
-
7 RepliesBruh they can't even ban this dude who's been blatantly speed hacking in pvp for the 4 months who has multiple game bans and a vac ban on his account and you wanna ban free winners?
-
1 ReplyNah. It was an exploit. They don’t ban people for stuff like that. It’s didn’t hurt anything except for some people’s feelings.
-
No they shouldn't but anyone who glitches or takes advantage of an exploit in a game should lose all rewards, PVE or PVP. The tubers cry the lowly peons are getting igneous hammer without having to sweat all the while they glitch NF's and raids left and right for easy loot. Its all the same, taking without earning is taking without learning. Lucky10P is in a argument with he world over this simple fact because he thinks strikes and NF exploits are cool but PVP are not. Man its all the same shit.
-
They have a history of not banning people who exploit. Plus that'd open up arguments about banning people who 12 manned stuff. So no.
-
Or, hear me out. You're exaggerating just a little bit? I mean, I didnt do it myself. And I still think bungie should patch it. But going after them because you're mad they took the easy way, despite it most likely not affecting you in really any way other than the knowledge that some less skilled people got top tier weapons for one weekend is just petty. Was it petty for them to use win trading? Yes. But it's even more petty to try to ban them so you could keep your elite status.

Should people who "shed blood and tears" to get imaginary things in a videogame be banned for their own good? Should people who base their self-worth on comparing their accomplishment in a videogame to a random stranger's be subjected to mandatory therapy? Should everyone who cheesed any quest, ever, be banned? Should people incensed by the idea that other people cheat in this world get slapped in the kisser to bring them closer to reality? Are these people only slightly less pathetic than the people who do the cheating? Maybe I should post a poll.
-
3 RepliesNo. Bungie pushed these people to this extreme in the first place.
-
4 RepliesHere's the deal: you're asking to ban those who simply do not possess the skill to compete for these rewards. Those that are hurting most are the recovs. Yes, there is a very small portion of the population that is being caught in that crossfire, but quite frankly punishing players for achieving a type of gear that is locked behind a system predicated on exclusion is very misplaced. The system caused the behavior. These aren't people seeking to harm others experience for fun such as a cheater. They're people acting out of a pure necessity in order to achieve the goal set before them by trading wins against other willing participants. The existence of Trials of Osiris is harmful to this game and thus should be eliminated. It serves little other purpose than to cultivate a culture of toxicity and exclusionist mentality. Those who benefit are recov services and the very small minority who frequent the playlist. If an ultra competitive gamemode is what some small portion of the community seeks, then keep the gamemode and strip the rewards and let them sweat for an emblem of sorts. At the risk of further text walls, I digress.

No because I don't care enough to let myself be bothered by it Does the way someone else gets some loot in a game matter to me at all? Absolutely not. Destiny is not real life and if that is how they want to play so be it
-
Hellllll no. This is Bungie creation on multiple levels. One, it is do-able without an exploit just an in game oversight. Two it's happening because trials is full of actual cheaters that people don't want to deal with. It's downright funny trials is getting disabled over win trading of all things when actual cheating has been rampant since the start.
-
Exploits are on Bungie, not the players. Good way to alienate people that give you money. This is business. Get real
-
Less than 4% of Destiny 2 players play Trials anyways. Maybe this will prompt a complete overhaul of the mod or end up in it being canceled permanently. It seems like Trial takes too much of Bungie's time, resources and attention away from other things that could be added to the game just to please a tiny number of players.
-
Suspend or at least warn? Yes. Ban? No, too severe.
-
No ban, only removal of exploited gear.
-
2 RepliesDon’t ban them. In fact, let it happen. However, any rewards obtained through that method should be replaced with an “Inept” weapon that only shoots blanks, or 0-stat armor.
-
Absolutely. It'll set as an example to anyone thinking of doing it as well. Don't have the skill to get it on your own? Too bad lol.
-
No. They need to be focusing on the real cheating and ddosing that actually harms other peoples experiences. Deal with cheats first then exploits. After they have dealt with that stuff then yeah sure they should have something in placve to catch this sort of thing and punish it. But right now there is far more malicious stuff going on that need dealt with first. Just an imo
-
1 ReplyWe would be left with console players lol
-
Yes without a doubt trashcans have been doing this since d1!
-
Either that or they should get their trials loot removed
-
They should fire the people that allowed it to happen.
-
1 ReplyLol if they ban people for win trading, there will be nobody left to play with
-
No need. However they should lock the gear and erase the stat.
