BUFF caster frame swords
For the damage the deal, why in the world do they cost 8 AMMO FOR A HEAVY ATTACK. If yall made it 4 people might actually consider them decent in pvp.

2 RepliesDon’t know about PvP but Black Talon was pretty decent in PvE and Gambit for me. It still is really, but I do miss the pre nerf version. Plus I can get up to 70 ammo for it with Mods. Still my go to exotic apart from Witherhoard for PvE and Gambit.

I get the argument that they're ranges so they should do less damage because you avoid danger better, but that damage is abysmal. I whole heartedly agree that they need a buff. What they could really do is take the whirlwind blade idea and make it to where you get kills swinging the blade at enemies to charge the cast and then fire off a crazy high damage (think Black Talon but you actually have to work for it and it doesn't track) blast.

Especially since they currently allow for a ranged heavy with three peek potential we don’t want to incentivize the use of these swords more. Also, I’m pretty sure black talon gets two heavy attacks and it is actually really powerful. I’ve seen it take out supers or two guardians.

Technically you don’t need 8 if you have less then 8 left I usually always use the heavy attack with 1 ammo left

I think its weird that castor frames cost 8 ammo for a heavy buy falling guillotines heavy attack costs 4 ammo. Not too mention castor's have the weakest heavy attack and light attacks.

Yeah they aren't too viable at the moment. Voporal can be useful but I wish their was some other gimmick. Like when you throw the heavy attack, it creates a AOE for a few seconds that damages everything a good amount. However at the moment it's just 8 ammo for a possibly kill on a major.

It only costs 8 because of pvp. They don't want people to have multiple ranged heavy attacks in crucible. PvE is suffering more from this, since the damage per ammo is so crap.
