Seriously. Warlocks have received the most nerfs the fastest of all classes.
They get the slowest melee attack, which is not compensated by having slightly more range. It just means they always lose.
The chaining on top tree storm caller is reduced and often times inneffective, which leads to wild inconsistencies that can't be predicted.
Nova warp was made so much less usable and took a year to have just one aspect reversed, after unending player feedback (hhsn damage blowback was reduced to 25%). The rest of the subclass remains in the same state.
Stasis abilities and super were reduced in usefulness almost immediately after release due to user feedback, even though those users had not unlocked their own abilities yet.
After the changes to freeze times for warlock, and the addition of damage resistance for frozen targets, the penumbral blast takes so long to shoot, the target thaws before they can be killed or shattered, unless you are in close range with a special weapon readied. The other classes have passive abilities for shattering targets, but warlocks are now resigned to keeping special weapons on hand and readied just for shattering. The subclass that supposedly specializes in freezing does it the worst and has the least tools to take advantage of it. That's out of balance and doesn't make sense or fun game play.
The super movement and the projectiles move so slow, it is the most frustrating super I've ever used. The counter to it is just a little jump out of the way, just like the counter to the incredibly slow moving penumbral blast.
There are so many reasons to think the warlock class is hated at bungie, simply because it isn't taken care of. Crippling this class isn't the way.

2 RepliesFunny i feel the same way about hunters. But my opinion doesn't matter since im a hunter main right?

Edited by FlipYoWaffles: 3/15/2021 3:56:47 AMWarlocks can chain freezes. They have stellar aerial play. They can instantly heal. Hunters get a 4 second cool down to their only way to shatter Their Arcstaff (mid tree) last 7 seconds while guarding Titans are just op And BB needs a significant buff AND THEY CALL THIS BALANCE

I think the warlock is the most versatile. Dodge like a hunter but more frequently? Yeah... I think it's ridiculous that the main class ability of hunters is dodge while warlocks have that ability depending on which subclass you use and it has less of a cool time. Although you have to be in a jump to use it. Depending on which exotic you use there's a lot of choices to make with a warlock. Fast weapon use? Use Ophidian Aspect. Fast mobility? Transversive Steps. Rift abilities? Stasis subclass with that aspect and Lunafaction boots. A turret who will compliment arc soul? Use Getaway Artist. Not to mention you have dozens of armor and weapon mods to help you out. The choices are ridiculous! Experiment and find what works for you. I don't understand why people think Bungie hates warlocks. Maybe you need to get better? Just find the right combination for you and you'll be fine It's a game.

5 RepliesA Bungie employee responsible for sandbox changes takes a Warlock into PvE, throws a few grenades, flies around, slaps a few thrall and takes notes. Their notes would say Warlock Is Ok, Does Fine, No Buffs Needed. They then take said-Warlock into a private match with another employee. They stand around trading grenades, timing distances that they could Glide and uses a super or two. They take notes which would say Warlock Is Good in PvP too, Don’t Know Why Bungie Forums Are Saying They Need Buffs. They clock out for the day and go home, confident in their ability to do their job. Little do they realize that NONE of what they’re testing is ACTUAL game play.

1 ReplyLegend has it bungie fears what warlocks were capable of in D1 therefore they have dedicated a special task force solely for the purpose of keeping the space magic gods in check!

I think its stupid too, idk why we got nerfed the 1st week of stasis before the aspects and fragments were even released! Yet hunter and titan remained untouched for over 3 months. But what really bugs me the most? Is that they don't want to negatively effect pve with the nerfs. And yet, the chaos reach nerf does indeed effect pve. I get why that's nerfed in pvp but damn dude, not cool that rule apparently only applies to every one else

15 Replies? Lock main here. I can see that, at the same time I think you're overreacting a bit. We are getting buffs too, and to be fair, we're the strongest in pve and have some really good classes for pvp. Not all of them, but some. Don't get me wrong, I do want to see some love to some of them, but just saying.

16 RepliesWarlock is the most versatile and useful class of the 3 and on average has the best exotics, and has the best grenades in the game. They probably get a lot of nerfs because they are stupid broken when they get something new. I have all exotics and all abilities on all classes and play them all frequently btw

No one likes crutchlocks 🤷♂️

Because they are not Titans.

3 RepliesAgree 100%. As a Warlock main it’s becoming really disheartening at this point to even want to continue playing with the class at all.
-
16 Replies🍼Warlocks are entitled and generally get the most op stuff at launch. Think launch Nova Warp, Shadebinder, SUNSINGER, the list goes on. Just adapt man
-
5 RepliesBecause pvp players want a gun game, and Warlocks are about powerful abilities.... ...and Bungie can’t resolve this contradiction. Though it is nice to see them starting to seperate the sandboxes. Almost none of the nerfs announced in yesterday’s TWAB are going to significantly affect pve play.
-
11 RepliesWe just going to ignore the fact that well of radiance is the best subclass that the game has ever seen for pve from its inception all the way to now 3 years later? Is that just a non factor?

Crippling this class isn't the way.[/quote] Therr are still many options for us just as time progress you really gotta play with skill and prep. Warlocks are being made to play like hunters but without the speed and tools. Stasis in general got destroyed which it needed its not good on any classes outside of titans after the nerfs. Nova warp I agree is nowhere near as powerful as it was but the trick to it now is mastery of blink amd and run necrotic grasps because the poo from the melee is 50 ,the poison is 50, and melee base is 100 its a 1 hit as long as you have a charge.

5 RepliesWarlock base melle has the same speed as every other class. This has been fixed in an update over a year ago. Feel free to check for yourself in a private match !
