Dear Bungie Developers
I have been playing this game since year one and I've loved every minute of it. Sure there have been some rough patches, but I know there is a large fanbase dedicated to the Destiny story that truly appreciates all of yalls hard work.
Now, I've heard that vaulting Forsaken content is a possibility in the future. Whatever you do, do NOT let this happen. The Dreaming City is by far the most beautiful location in the game, and its importance in regards to Savathun's entrance is unmistakable. Not to mention that Cayde died in Forsaken, and vaulting it is almost a slap in the face of Cayde 6 fans (pretty much everyone tbh). Blind Well is phenominal as well, like a D2 Court of Oryx.
We all know that "vaulting" isn't the same as deleting, and that we will likely see this content in the future. Despite that, the Dreaming City and the Tangled Shore are some of your best locations and most interesting plot points. Destiny has handled large game sizes before, and if you vault Forsaken content without a story element behind it (like the darkness after Arrivals), the game just won't make sense. Maybe the Darkness could be breaking Savathun's hold on the Dreaming City, but still, we love Forsaken Content, and would rather let it stay and keep the game a little bigger than let it get vaulted for a smaller game size.
I'm so sorry for the long forum. For those of you who read all that, thanks a ton. For anyone who agrees, please upvote so the Devs know how much we love Forsaken content. We love you Bungie! Thanks for giving us such a phenomenal story and gaming experience!

Edited by Specter: 10/7/2021 10:19:10 PMHaving paid for Deluxe Edition back when PC version of D2 was in Battle.net, I must say I do feel a bit upset about the content vaulting - and while I admit I did not spend that much time on Titan or Io, I did like going to Mercury to shoot some Vex time to time. Forsaken however is entirely different story for me. Even with Beyond Light, it has been my favorite expansion, and I really enjoy doing bounty hunting to Spider (or getting Glimmer from him after Upgrade Modules leave me broke - which happens a LOT in first weeks of Season), as well as had my favorite story in Destiny 2 with hunting down the Scorn Barons. That, and... Not sure what to think about content we pay for getting Vaulted... What next is vaulted? Moon? On sidenote, I admit, I was bit "...WTF" when main game became FTP after I paid for it years back, but that's besides the point.

I would be fine with them vaulting forsaken
so long as they hand over a 75% gift card for an expansion of my choice
-
Bungo is vaulting D2 content and bringing in mediocre D1 content (aka crappy pvp maps). Bravo Bungo, bravo 👏
-
23 RepliesNo, please vault it. I have no reason to go to Dreaming City anymore. I have all Last Wish weapons. I have all armor sets I have all shaders I don't give a duck about the title I have wishender. There is no endgame reason for Forsaken content anymore.

1 ReplyEdited by DiZ: 3/14/2021 11:29:46 PMHey, if they vault Cayde's death, does that mean they can bring him back???
Just asking the "real questions”...
15 RepliesIt's Bungie's game we're just playing in it.
-
14 RepliesThey can vault any part of the game and no one will miss it. Game is so empty, you play a new strike and it gets old in a week! Trials don't even need a planet to play it. Neither do strikes. They are all in hyperspace! They can take all the planet's and maybe just leave the Tower. There they can put all the shortcuts for any activity and game will be set. 😂😂😂 Why bother making new spaces?...Nobody will use them in a month. If not for forced seasonal activities, bounties, or lost sectors, planets would be empty! Dreaming City was beautifully made but got empty in just a week after it came out. Mind you, this was a new location after it launched! 1 week, EMPTY!!! 😂😂😂 Game is just a shadow of D1 now. They're even bringing old D1 content back into D2. ☝😂😂😂 That's a huge sign right there! Sign says "WE ARE LAZY AND UNCREATIVE NOW!" - signed Matter! 😂😂😂
-
I wouldn't even bother at this point. Like they took 4 planets out just to make room for the moon. Like what?
-
Well think of it as, out with forsaken, in with witch queen which is just as big supposedly bigger like taken king.
-
One good thing from vaulting Forsaken is the fact that the Hollowed Lair won't exist anymore.
-
I hope they don't, Dreaming City is my favorite part.
-
2 RepliesWait there vaulting forsaken

1 ReplyEdited by One Eternal Ash: 3/13/2021 11:19:18 AMIt will be at some point because Forsaken content will not be relevant before Lightfall comes along but they will stay until we kill Savathun. Predicitions of planets will tie to the Lightfall Expansion: Europa (Still New and Our First Darkness Subclass) Earth (will always stay because it's our home and to defend our city) Moon (Destiny 1 Legacy) Venus (Destiny 1 Legacy) Dreadnaught (Destiny 1 Legacy) New Locations 1 (The Witch Queen, Expansion) New Locations 2 (Lightfall, Expansion) and more...... Into the DCV before Lightfall: The Tangled Shore and The Dreaming City (They will be gone in the Last season of the Witch Queen)

That’s bullshit if they get rid of something people paid money for. Of course, I can’t speak, since I got all mine for sale.
-
10 RepliesEdited by SynK Deagle: 3/12/2021 6:38:36 AMYes let’s not vault a large destination to make room for another destination because a character who wasn’t even that good died
-
While I'm generally against vaulting any content it is going to happen. I feel like Bungie basically screwed themselves when they decided to scrap making Destiny 3 and commited to keeping Destiny 2 up to date. But at the same time i don't think Destiny 2 was build with that in mind. They game file was getting massive, problems weren't getting fixed as fast and loading times were worse. So basically the only solution they saw was to cut out 50% of their came. So vaulting Forsaken will happen at some point. Maybe this year or next year but it will happen. The only way it doesn't happen is if Bungie committed to making Destiny 3 which is still something i hope to see at some point.

8 RepliesOk, so. In this new DCV, they wont remove the earth locations, doubt they will remove the dreaming city, not europa, abd maybe not the moon. So. That leaves us with 2 planets to remove. Nessus and the tangled shore.
-
I would be ok with sunsetting forsaken destinations IF we get something else with equal quality and amount but since they said there will never be something big like forsaken again I'd say no to sunsetting alone for the reason that it's beautiful locations. I'd rather be ok to sunset nessus.
-
1 ReplyForsaken saved this game. It shouldn't go. That would be like getting rid of taken king in d1.
-
2 Replies
DO NOT VAULT FORSAKEN CONTENT
"Remove Eververse" "Remove enhancement cores" "Remove the high cost to masterwork" "Remove sunsetting" Out of all of those only one got Bungie's attention because they were losing players and that is the only reason why but it was done half-assed.
-
1 ReplyWe hear you loud and clear guardian! More eververse items will soon be available in store! Keep the feedback coming, we’re listening

Edited by Astrosa: 3/12/2021 11:59:45 PMImagine being this far into d2 and only having 2 raids
yes I’m aware of vog

rip new players
I’ve been playing d2 since beta
-
Yeah dude, after witch queen, were gonna end the curse, giving the dreaming city, and by some extent, prolly the reef, grounds to be put out of our reach. I bet they say the Awoken close the borders after shit gets fixed

1 ReplyHaha bungie go brr brr
