Why is a sunsetted weapon dropping at Nightfall Ordeal?
At the completion of Nightfall Ordeal, I have received the Long Goodbye sniper rifle twice but the power cap is 1060. Why is this dropping?

Because they didn’t care when they sunset things. They wanted to remove the best weapons in the game at any cost. They didn’t relinquish to the players demands either. They planned exactly this because of reload speeds. It’s that simple.

That's easy to answer: Because the whole "Sunsetting" of gear was a lazy and thoughtless solution.

Justin Truman talks cool, I like what he says. But I don't have faith in Bungie as a whole anymore. So, bungie is incompetent. They've failed the community, and that goes for the people with Stockholm Syndrome as well. They're going to give us black eye after black eye, and the community as a whole will forever tell the police that they keep running into a door on accident.

1 ReplyOne could expect that with the hundreds of people that work at Bungie this kind of oversights would never happen. Yet here we are. And remember that they deleted half the game so their work could be easier. Maybe the problem is somewhere else.

We have 5 strikes with exclusives still in the game that can be dropped Mind benders ambition, wardens law, the long goodbye, militas birthright, horrors least. If something is still going to drop in the game it shouldnt have a cap plain and simple.

Same did a couple of Heroic nightfalls looking for Paldarome but it dropped that dumb sniper I had frozen orbit already so I dismantled it on sight.

The ones that have dropped for me were all Masterworked so I like the extra materials.

Had about 8-10 of these useless snipers though, including the masterworked curated roll. Game is trolling me hard right now. EDIT : up to approx 35 legend nightfall runs. Still not 1 drop. This is getting ridiculous.

I was so pissed when I had Gnawing Hunger dropped on me with the exact same perks as my old one but has different expiration date. Oh, I was mad!!! Imagine getting this sniper now but in reverse!!! 😂😂😂 💩! So glad I'm not playing this 💩 anymore to experience this 💩! 😂😂😂 What a game! Logic!

2 RepliesSame reason why we still get more blue drops then purple even at close to max power level or season pass level. Bungie doesn't care. God bless the new leadership change. Hopefully we will get something better than blue drops in master nightfalls.

Bungie didn't put much thought into Sunsetting as a whole, so they probably completely ignored what drops so they could focus on what new stuff to put in to validate Sunsetting exiting.

They play in siloed test builds to look at a specific aspect No one at Bungie joins the dots, so consistency is the last thing you should expect from them. Receiving old rewards is part and parcel of the Destiny experience - you need to enjoy dismantling because you will throw away 99% of what you receive in this game

1 ReplySame, I gotten 2 long goodbyes (one curated version) in 2 nightfalls this weeks... And I thought old gambit weapons are meant to drop in gambit (or gambit prime) before the sunsetting. Honestly, it makes me think the Bungie forgot this weapon was sunsetted already and thought it could be used in the upcoming gm nightfalls.
