Sunsetting on Rose and other non-meta Sunnsetted weapons
First post, But one I feel is important enough to post on. Why was the Rose Sunnset? It is a Solid, Non-meta, Lore heavy Handcannon that deserves some love. With the mass un-sunsetting why don't we add the Rose to the list?

Still holding on to Trust and Spare Rations, hoping for a change of heart at Bungie about sun setting great weapons. Also, please bring back Invective. I’d give anything to have that shotgun back.

2 RepliesI'm still holding onto my god rolled Duke mk44, in hopes they reserves sunsetting on non meta weapons. That thing is a pve beast.

4 RepliesIf Rose was Thorn then how does Rose even exist...? Never understood this one. Anyway, the list of weapons that shouldnt have been sunset is long and it would be odd to pick non essential favorites to take off the list. All weapons should honestly be given random rolls and dumped back in as world drops, and standard strike rewards.

2 RepliesSunsetting on unique/exclusive Legendaries alone is the biggest FU to the community. You can't get any of them again, so it's not like we can have the chance to re-earn it (or if they just decide to cancel it like Crimson Days and the bows that are literally Shaxx marrying us, I'm not bitter). Stuff like the BreyTech and Rose are exlcusive to Exotic quests that are now unobtainable, and Nightfall exclusive stuff is the same problem, only worse because of how much time was put into finally getting it. Non-meta stuff? Meh, whatever, not important. Unique/exclusives? Inexcusable.

There are also other legendary-weapons from quests with an infinite "lifespan", like the Sturm and Drang duo for example.

The only weapons that really needed to be sunset were the year 2 pinnacle weapons. And those could have been reigned in a bit by making them exotic

2 RepliesSome of the strike specific loot, including this week’s nightfall, falls into the same bucket. Clearly not a lot of thought was put into sunsetting, or these kinds of missed opportunities would not be coming up.

Edited by Hendo: 3/10/2021 9:40:18 PMUnlike other Weapons in exotic quest rose doesn’t support lumina in any other way then just obtaining it. Drang and mida mini tool work hand in hand for damage boost or handling. Which is why they’re not sunset.
