Weasel and Anteater

So for like 30 minutes I get constant weasel and anteater error codes. Everything worked well before. Router restart and all didn't help

  • Since the start of the season, everyone in my clan of 50+ active players have suffered from some amount of weasel or anteater error codes. For some, the disconnects have made the game almost unplayable. For some, like me up until this week, the errors were more common than last season but fairly infrequent. After the last reset on Tuesday, I've seen a noticeable uptick in the number of anteater and weasel codes that I'm getting. It all came to a head today - I have been getting nonstop bee, anteater, and weasel error codes all day today. It's worse in matchmade activities. I get a "contacting Destiny 2 servers" notice 4-5 times when I play with a player-matched activity like a Master Nightfall but I don't usually get dropped. If I play an activity that is matchmade, like battlegrounds, crucible, or gambit, I have a 75% chance of getting dropped with a bee, anteater, or weasel error. During one of the battlegrounds tonight, I got dropped 5 times, and one of the other people in the group (we were all randomly matched) dropped at least once. I have reset my router, changed my NAT settings, UPnP settings, cleared my Steam cache, and nothing has worked. This is impacting both my PC and PS4 (as of today). The PS4 is little bit more robust in holding me in the activity - I'll get a lot of "connecting to D2 servers" and glitching, but I didn't drop completely out of the activity. On the PC, I will likely drop.

      Same, but not constant. I also got "contacting Destiny 2 servers", but that is quite common, and no error code usually follows if it's just a hickup. I got stuck in orbit unable to match into a fireteam in Gambit; then got Weasel'd and restarted game. I had no problems getting back into the game, but loaded in to the tower 3 different times, but was all alone - no one there; no one else loading in to "my Tower". My clanmate could join after invite to the Tower with me, but no one else joining into that Tower. We tried matching in Mayhem, and it worked. So not sure what that was. Also; my ports are "open", so no issues - have tested everything. De-sync maybe.

      • I gave up on Destiny 2... I used to play back when I had a gaming PC. I bought a series X and was pretty happy that I would finally be able to play it again; I received a lot of anteaters. I tried minor fixes, and changed some of my router settings, but so far no good... The funny thing is that I play a ton of Overwatch and Remnant from the ashes online, with not a single problem. I live in Brazil and have a 240mb internet speed, wich is pretty good for our country. Major people have like 30, 40 mb... I played a litle bit of that new game, Outriders, and I think I'll stick with it. I've really tried: installed it 3 times (that huge file)... Yesterday I had just one reconnecting problem, and was having a blast with the game! I'm sad :( Good Luck to you all!
