I love using Witherhoard but it feels a little weaker in season 13 compared to 12. My apologies if this was already a point of discussion in the past I'm just curious if you guys agree or disagree that Witherhoard is still a viable option for PvE.

Edited by TSL BestOfMe: 3/6/2021 4:10:06 PM100% absolutely! I use it all the damned time! Getting close to 10K kills with it lol Edit: it is incredible at Tanks: Reborn or phase 1 in the DSC! Lob a pool at Taniks as a suppressor and you don't need to shoot him again until the 3rd suppressor zone, easily just stand in the middle one without needing to shoot. Just make sure you hit him with the grenade and not place a pool around him to keep the tick damage going as he moves around.

God yes. Used it in Prophecy, really keeps those damn psions in check.
-
Yes, the Dollar General Anarchy is still good.
-
2 RepliesIt’s my favorite exotic until malfeasance gets a catalyst
-
5 RepliesPair it with a warmind cell energy weapon and mods, shoot wither at enemies, switch to cell weapon, cells then comes from wither kills and start the chain of explosions with wrath, rage and global reach mods. Solar rocket aswell for more solar splash damage making more cells. Win.

Edited by IronHatchett: 3/4/2021 5:28:37 PMI used Wither/swarm for Prophecy flawless runs. It's not the be all end all but, If you like using it it's still viable and depends on the encounters. some it works with, others not as much. Also, does pretty good boss damage in Gambit. I use Wither autoloading with a rocket launcher. Shoot wither, shoot rocket, reload, swap to wither and repeat. Constant damage, always top boss damage when I play
-
3 RepliesIts still good. Use it when i run Presage. Whitherhoard, Gnawing Hunger and Code Duello. Easiest loadout but extremely efficient
-
I can make people cry in both pve and pvp with it So yes
-
5 RepliesI main witherhord in pve and pvp. Imo best nade launchers out there.
-
If everyone likes it. Bungie, “Stats show they’re all using Witherhoard... lets remove the pool damage make it a regular grenade that bounces 4 x & misses !”
-
The hoard is always relevant, so long as a big nerf isn’t inbound...
-
It's still slaps Kell echo so yeah....
-
1 ReplyIf you find witherhoard underpowered....no nope nothing to say.

1 ReplyIts just generally better to use exotic heavies. Still not a bad weapon in its own. Without champs it'd be better.
-
Nothings changed, still a great weapon. That said, with Salvagers Salvo being a thing there’s a few more options now
-
I didnt use it at start but now I pair it with a heavy launcher (auto loading), and its just melting bosses.
-
Oh hell yeah it is
-
I IMO it's still top tier for pve. It's my go to choice for most activities.
-
1 ReplyAbsolutely, especially paired with an Ikelos smg for warmind creation.
-
5 RepliesWitherhoard, curated gnawing hunger and a sword. That's all you need for this game lol.
-
1 ReplyI use witherhoard in DSC 3rd encounter, it’s great for span killing. Also works well for suppressor, hit taniks with a grenade then just run through the areas and it auto damages him.
-
Lol why wouldn't it be? It hasn't been nerfed once.
-
-
Absolutely. Its great for hordes of thrall, screebs, etc. Its the most fun weapon I've used in years of Destiny.
-
Totally. Although I definitely agree, it feels like the tick damage over time was nerfed.
