Crucible is now mostly ohk weapons, ability spam, and supers.
Best gunplay of any game out, buried under a mountain of ohk, ability spam, and functionally invincible supers. All you can do is shake your head.

The ability spam started as soon as stasis was released, the super spam started after the gotta go fast update if I remember correctly. To be honest, the most balanced destiny we ever had was when we had double primaries. Yes the mida was annoying, yes the ttk was super slow but imagine what would happen if we had double primaries again with the ttk we have on weapons right now? Imagine having a super only a max of 2 times per match? Mida wouldnt dominate because we have side arms and other weapons able to kill really fast, side arms or smg’s would replace shotguns. scouts, bows and pulse rifles would replace snipers, auto rifles would replace fusions (although no one uses fusions right now). So many weapon archetypes would open up to a viable option simply by moving the one shots back to the heavy. Thats just the weapon meta, stasis getting nerfed would make the game perfect.

3 RepliesWhen I do actually choose to play on my Titan, it’s ridiculous. I can slide for a quarter mile and then just shotgun people from a crazy distance. You can close the gap so quickly. Unfair if they’re not also using a ohk weapon. I really just gave in and started using Felwinters this season. Wish I had done it sooner.

2 RepliesThe problem came at the end of Y1 when they wildly decreased the TTK. Ever since the community just leans on whatever kills fastest and easiest. Bungo needs to stop making it easy.

PvP is as fun as kissing your gran. for me an average player its unplayable and this season its got worst with the new trails weapons being more powerful than any weapon I can get so this is why so many are cheating in trails plus Bungie great matchmaking for me in comp. always up against three strong players with a weak team

OHK Weapons? We had to deal with Mountaintop in its shining moment, Jotun was still fresh, Telesto had no range nerf yet, Chaperone was Hunters' best friend and most of all, the broken Lord of Wolves. So broken that we even have an EMBLEM to remember those days of pure madness. Ability Spam? Striker Titans used to run all the day with infinite Should Charge, Nightstalker Hunters used to crouch behind corners with their wall-hacks, Warlocks air-dashing all day long. Supers? We really wanna talk about Supers spam? With the old Armor System and 5 Intellect Mods stacked together after 2 minutes of Quickplay Supers started to chain together and it became Mayhem. Infinite Striker Titan Super, Infinite Spectral Blade Super, infinite Dawn Blade Super. We went throught a lot... Crucible right now is absolutely far from being perfect, but it's not even remotely crazy as it was before.

2 RepliesHunter Revenant, and Felwinters is the cancer loadout. Played one match the other night and I had seen all I needed to see of the Crucible. Maybe I’ll come back once the stasis tuning hits and Felwinters is gone.

5 RepliesDon't know how you like to play, but if you go in with two primaries and get destroyed because you don't have a sniper, fusion rifle, shotgun or do not use abilities...that's a you problem. I absolutely hated the special ammo crate system in D1 along with all the nerfs that happened in the name of balance "Trials" because it slowed the game down drastically. Trials has killed more fun for the game overall due to all the whinny people complaining about supers, abilities, lack of primary gun play. Did everyone forget that this is a game where an alien, the traveler, gave us super powers and abilities not gun skill. If you do not like supers and abilities go play COD. The real problem with people like the original poster is that if they had it there way it would be like vanilla launch D2 and if Bungie created a barebones playlist with no supers, limited abilities, limited special ammo, no heavy ammo you would still -blam!- and complain and that barebones playlist would have que times to the point where you could eat, take a dump, shower, make a phone call before finding a match.
