It would actually be a very fun game mode if they removed the invader mechanic and replaced it with something else. Maybe little hidden optional objectives that would buff your whole team for a short while or nerf the entire enemy team for a short while. Anyway bungie will never be able to fix gambit. They can’t program and they lack imagination. They should have sunset gambit and kept menagerie.

5 RepliesMy problem with Gambit is that the balancing around invasions is awful. The invader gets an overshield and real time info on the location of the enemy team. The enemy team also has zero knowledge of the invader's location. It's too easy to wipe a team using a scout or sniper.

Invading in gambit is literally the only thing it is good for. Remove that and you may as well just remove the gun

4 RepliesA bit far. But heavy does need to be adjusted, its either xeno or EoT. Cant tell you how much it annoys me P. S. Dont tell me "Just use them too". No. If sleeper got nerfed to oblivion because of gambit and a couple bosses got melted, then xeno can suck my left nut.

Yes ban it. Also invaders in gambit killed me with a sniper, colony, rockets of all shapes and sizes, scout rifles, pulse rifles, hand cannons, super abilities of all flavours etc etc. To keep you happy I think a ban on invaders full stop may be required. Gambit Lite could be its new name. Then again, we'd see posts about other nerfs required as the boss melts too quickly.

You dont get to decide what you get killed by. If eot gets ppl kills to win ppl will use it, you can judge them for using it but thats all.

If you died to Eyes, you were also going to die to Truth, Xenophage, or any decent sniper at that moment.

Honestly, EoT is OP in Gambit. I have dodge the rockets and then hid and they still found me. Gambit is crap regardless.

Gambit is a depressive game mode played only to get a decent bottom dollars. After almost 6 infamy resets this season watching extremely casual friends loot god rolls on their first runs, I have strong statistical evidence to declare that throwing games improves the drop rate. In fact nothing in the game requires wins. So when you face a stack, and since Bungie believes that leaving such encounter negatively affects the experience of others, simply invade with 15 motes and improve the experience of both teams, for instance. Or bank first, so you can hear the other team whisper: what a bunch of noobs. /s

It is what it is guardian. I think it’s hilarious when a team drops 3 large blockers on me, then invades and wipes the whole team out with one shot. Then, if they’re sharp enough, they can get us all again at the spawn point 😂 There’s always going to be weapons that lean heavily into invading in gambit, wether it’s meant or not. I personally like using Truth, but it does feel a little cheap. But like others have said, the state of gambit now is so poor, I genuinely do not give a monkeys if I win or lose - get my pinnacle/do the bounties and move on.
