Not two seasons from now, not next season.
Next week.
They overstep the range that hand cannons should be used in, and make other weapon types completely useless.

personally handcannons need to be gutted and removed from pvp entirely

1 Reply120 hand cannons are rough to fight against with anything. I often 1 v 1 a friend of mine and he uses a 120 hand cannon and shotgun while I use a pulse rifle and sniper. Most of our engagements are at the distance you would expect in crucible. The 120 hand cannon even with its 1 second ttk beats my 0.67 ttk on my pulse rifle almost every time. When I try to go to farther away engagements to snipe the 120 flinches me off the shot every time. So literally by using a weapon type (not by changing playstyle to play around a sniper) but by using a certain type of weapon, one of my weapons (my sniper) is completely sealed off or negated from use. 120s are far too reliable, long range, and (by some strange thing) have a faster ttk than I feel they should.
-
But if you can catch a 120 user out of cover and can hit your shots they're stuck with a pretty slow ttk. That's how I've been combating them.

I do agree but 120s have never been showed love until now they need a little longer to shine
-
Let me explain it to you in terms you can understand…
No
4 RepliesEdited by Jedi1Mind1Trick: 3/1/2021 3:55:08 AMwrong. completely wrong. 120 rpm HCs have always been completely worthless crap. so enjoy them dominate for a few months without sounding like a little girl. it all goes around and comes around. grow up Shirley

Disagree.

12 RepliesI REALLY don’t want to hear anything from you. You have probably played 40 games of crucible since beyond light came out. Brave 2 in comp, and have you gotten past 3 wins in Trials? Sounds like somebody is super salty they can’t win. They need a 4-5 meter range nerf, don’t butcher the class. If you aren’t a literally potato with a controller and use a 140 you can easily beat 120s, also use Dead Man, great to combat them... So yes they need a SMALL range nerf, no aa nerf. They can be beat, and they are strong, this is the most balanced meta we’ve had in a good while. (Besides Ice Ice Baby)
-
1 ReplyMan, you guys complain about everything. At least you’re consistent. Fusions, GL, AR, Shotty’s, HC’s. Bungie needs to make a play list just for you. Ohhh wait they did, its called private match. Its a no wonder Bungie ignores the forums as much as they do. Nerf this, nerf that. Amuse me, how does Bungie adjust 120’s without effecting 140’s or other weapon types?
-
Yes please...the range has completely eclipsed other weapons types.
-
Agreed - they need to be reigned in by a few meters.
-
1 Reply120’s can’t compete against my time worn spire
-
Nope! But we do need bigger Maps back so scouts and snipers can do their job.
-
13 RepliesThe fax that hand cannons as a rule 2 Shots Kill really fast and shotguns like the felwinters lie that have ridiculous range with the one hit kill makes everything else redundant. it's no surprise the top 10 most used weapons with shotguns and hand cannons. anytime a weapon is buffed other than these two gets cried about. look at auto rifles they became competitive when they got to buff but had the shortest buff in destiny history of four weeks because of PvP crying for and wanted the meta. forget that they could use auto rifles too no they wanted the meta
-
2 RepliesSure ,I'll continue to use my explosive round true prophecy hahahahah
-
If you think it’s so overpowered (and maybe it is. I donno) use it.
-
1 ReplyHand cannons should never compete at pulse rifle range. They been the meta for most of the time since pally came out end of D1. It’s boring and stale, but all these nerds wanna be like their favorite streamers.
-
1 ReplyNa they need a stability nerf
-
11 RepliesEdited by BITCOINxMILLIONAIRE: 3/2/2021 5:06:13 AMAgressive frame handcannons are specifically for long range engagements as it states on the description. So no, they don't need a range nerf. They can increase the zoom on aggressive frames to make it harder for shorter range engagements. And remove all the damage buffs from freezing with stasis or charge of light builds from pvp. Those are better solutions.

6 RepliesEdited by Harbinger, Kell of Reaping: 3/1/2021 5:45:08 AMI definitely agree. I love certain Hand Cannon's such as Crimson, The Last Word and Thorn in combination with Necrotic Grips. But none of those weapons stack up against a 120 RPM Hand Cannon in terms of range and damage. They are literally pocket sized snipers. So I'm all for a nerf. Hand Cannons need to be extremely powerful in a short to mid ranged battles but get significant damage fall off once an enemy moves out of the required range.
-
1 ReplyThat and reduce the flinch on them considerably. I love it when my aim goes to the cieling cause i got shot once by a 120 when I get the drop on them.
-
16 RepliesAgreed. They should out range all other hand cannons. But they shouldn’t compete with scout rifles. Hopefully they tune the range a little.
-
While I agree I shouldn’t be hitting 90 damage headshots from sniper range, nerf felwinters?
-
2 Replies(Imo) I believe scouts and pulses need buffs. Pulses need there range back and scouts need more forgiveness in body shots.
-
How will they compete with long-range scouts if they did that? It wouldn't make sense. They need to out-duel at short-range, then dominate all others throughout mid range, and beat scouts, pulses at distance. They should remove all other archetypes actually. It's ridiculous that there ARE other archetypes really. They should just delete them. Well, apart from Shotgun obviously. Two archetypes to rule them all! FOREVER, Bungie, and not just the first three years. Yours sincerely Most of the PvP Sweat Community.
