Can you make the warlock melee the same speed as the other classes please. 1 more meter is useless and never comes into play. When you end up next to someone is when you need an equal melee. I do t understand why this isn't a thing.

2 Repliesonly if hunter jump can reach the same hieght as the other 2 classes without exotic assistance.

Idk if you just aren’t trying but that extra distance absolutely matters. Not too often, but I’ve seen it come up multiple times before and it’s definitely saved my ass. Don’t underestimate the power of that extra meter. It will come in handy and will save your life in PvP.

It does come into play... Also why the hell you getting into slap fights so often that this is an issue? Get good...

1 ReplyOr increase the range to what it was in D1..

Before I say anything else I have to say: One meter comes into play a lot. 1 more meter equal better shotgun + melee combo range (also works well with sidearms. That’s incredibly useful, I don’t understand why anyone would not see that. Also I’m pretty sure (not 100% certain) that the actual speed of the melees are the same but the recovery time before you can melee again is longer on the warlock melee (basically the first melees will come out as quickly as Hunter and Titan but the second melee will come out later than the other two classes). That means that unless you’re getting into double melee fights a lot that “speed” doesn’t really make a difference often. Most people don’t get into double melee fights unless they both were in close range of each other and neither person had a shotgun or any close range weapon. Most people use their melees as a way to finish off weak opponents. Now if you want to remove the extra 1m in exchange for better recovery time on your melee then by all means go for it (although that would be more of a loss than a win for warlocks). However there is no way in hell that you’re keeping the extra base melee range and getting the melee speed buff. That’s just not gonna happen. TL;DR If you want the extra “melee speed” then you’ll have to give up the extra range, then that’s fine by me (but that would be a self inflicted nerf fir Warlocks). You’re not gonna get both the extra melee range and the melee “speed” though.

38 RepliesMost warlock melees one shot, so I hope it doesn’t change.

no way, if they took away the range and made it as pathetic as hunter and titan melee, I'd be upset

Edited by Knavenformed: 2/28/2021 5:48:35 PMWould be pretty cool if they made it balanced in a way but have each class with unique punches: Titan keeps the current Hunter a bit faster but lower range Warlock a bit slower but longer range Mot huge differences but noticeable in the feel of it if you main a class long and change. But this is just armchair designing, true balance would be nice for you Warlocks.

Scrap their range for a faster melee. I'm down.

1 ReplyThe best way to take advantage of the extra melee range is to punch/slap and immediately jump above your opponent, follow up with a second melee attack. It’s not too consistent but it’s funny when it’s done successfully.
-
2 RepliesI'm honestly ok with it as is. if I get out melee-d, it's cause I didn't get the first hit off. The range lets me potentially get the first hit off as long as I pay attention to things.
-
They'll never fix it. They've been shitting on warlocks since day 1, why would they 180 now?
-
This is the change they should have made in the first place.

3 RepliesIf you want the same speed and more range us ophidian aspect. It gives increased reload speed, melee speed and range, and you can pull out weapons faster.
