This is an issue I believe I first noticed back in late November or early December, I've been unable to load into any destination. I did have one instance last week where I randomly logged on to check if the issue had been sorted, it worked, and i logged off again, happy that I could now play so I bought the new season pass knowing id get around to playing during the next week. I never changed any settings between the point of the game working and when it stopped working.
Over the past few days I checked again, and the issue is back to how it had been originally, the character select screen stutters a bit, then the same with when my ship loads in. I then choose a destination and i know that I've loaded in due to the audio, but I have no display and the game hard crashes with no error code around 30-60 seconds later.
Note: I've also since changed graphics cards from a 2070 super to a 3080, therefore I know the issue shouldn't be with my gpu given the problem existing with both.

I've been having the exact same issue that you describe, but only since this season has started. Stutters during character selection, when my ship is flying in, when I open my inventory or examine any weapon or armor. Crashes with a black screen when my ship right after it "reaches" the destination (music keeps playing most of the time). Every 5-10 tries it actually loads me in and lets me play without any issues, but the session after that always crashes again. I barely played Destiny 2 in the last two weeks because of these crashes, which is a shame since this season has been pretty cool so far. All the other games I've been playing have been totally fine, so it's just Destiny that's having trouble. My PC hasn't changed at all since the beginning of the year. Reinstalling the game and my graphics drivers hasn't improved things either. I have a Ryzen 1700, a GTX1080Ti and 16GB of RAM.
