Presage quest complete, no dead man's tale
after spending over an hour working on soloing the presage quest on my warlock I got the prompt at the end of the mission to steal and completed the mission but got a legendary piece of armor instead of the rifle, I'd rather not spend another hour or more grinding down the boss health to potentially get nothing again if possible and get the error fixed

i have an issue with the quest. Basically zabala wont give me the quest and i have the season pass. I just pick up the signal in the strike and zabala is not yellow!

1 ReplyHi there, Players who are encountering issues with acquiring the Dead Man's Tale should make sure to do the following: 1. If you originally acquired the quest on another character make sure you have reacquired the quest from the Quest Archive on your current character. If the quest is not in your inventory you will be unable to acquire the weapon. 2. Upon completing the activity make sure you pick up the weapon and wait until the mission end timer appears before leaving the activity. Keep in mind there is a longer delay between grabbing the weapon and the timer appearing. [b]If you leave before the timer, or do not pick up the weapon, you will be locked out from acquiring the weapon until the next weekly reset.[/b] After successfully acquiring the weapon and waiting for the mission end timer to appear, players will need to visit Zavala to receive the weapon.

At least you guys can clear it.. the boss is bugged for me, and has been since it opened, havnt cleared it once despite HOURS (just did it for another 4 hours tonight.) Of attempting it. Boss teleports away, or right next to me, his flames hit me even when i am above him while furnace is off, oh, and "stadia encounters an error" about 5 minutes in if i try to take anyone else in as a team... Yea.. gj.

1 Replyas this has happened to me, i can only assume that you picked the quest up on another char then did it on warlock. If this is so, you need to go the quest hub in the tower next to your postmaster, and pick up the quest. For some reason this is not account wide the quest and has to be picked up on each character. Soon as i did this i got the rewards

Went to Zavala after and he didn't have anything. From what I can tell, you have to wait for the Mission Complete popup, which can take awhile. Quite frustrating in that Osiris literally says to return to Zavala when you grab the rifle. I even explored the room a bit and still no Mission Complete or countdown, and I received the pinnacle drop when I returned to orbit. Pretty confusing and frustrating.

3 Repliesif its your very first time doing it you have to go talk to zavala after to receive the weapon, then you can do it one more time to get a random roll. after that it will stop dropping until they let us farm it again.

Same happened to me last night. Took me a couple hours to solo it and then nothing. 1st run on account and also only received a pinnacle drop. Doesn't exactly make me want to get back on and chase gear or re-run.

1 ReplySame issue. Plus it says the mission is supposed to drop a pinacle piece of gear. I did it on my 2 other characters and none of them got the gun nor a pinacle piece.

3 RepliesIt seems like you can only get Dead Man's Tale with a random roll once per week per account. So this week you would've been able to get 2. One with a random roll & the base version.
