Dont see the logic of this Bungie you want us to have different types of builds experiment utilizing different types of exotics weapons making sure the sandbox is not stale where everybody is using the same weapons and armor but we locked in the paying 10,000 glimmer to reset our artifact then the price keeps going up what kind of dumb game decision was this. It does not hurt the game or balance letting player reset there artifact whenever they are changing their builds and we be able to use more than 12 slots at one time maybe 20 its not like you can equipment then all at the same time anyways
-
5 RepliesWe should be able to unlock everything on the artifact we can't use them all at the same time anyway.
-
2 RepliesUmmm, isnt it really obvious? What else is the point of only having a bunch of artifact points to spend on mods? It would negate the need to choose what mods you want, otherwise you could reset your artifact for each activity. You may as well not bother with artifact points at all.
-
yeah,I'm Ok with 10K glimmer, but should be the same price everytime reset.
-
Why pay? Bro ... this is BUNGIE we’re talking about! I’m surprised you don’t have to pay glimmer each time you open your menu! 😂
-
1 ReplyBetter question is why are they not just all unlocked. It's not like you could play with all of them anyway.
-
They are a bunch of clueless morons thats why.

1 ReplyIn almost every game I've played when you reset your talents it is typically at a cost. The cost to reset in other games is based on the currency, usually gold. I, myself, have reset my artifact in prior seasons for Grandmaster content and had the cost increase to an exorbitant amount. However, this was necessary for the specific builds I needed for a specific grandmaster nightfall. This season I have chosen to pick separate skills for each character (hunter, warlock, titan) to effectively keep myself from repeating this same scenario. If anything, the cost should be lowered but the cost should remain. This would allow more experimentation for builds. I also don't think the points should be tied to our power level. If we wait to use a point it shouldn't keep us from getting the bonus that we've earned from leveling the artifact. Those who dedicate to both PvE and PvP have more issues with the artifact because of the need to swap to more effective talents for high end PvE and then switch it again for high end PvP.

5 RepliesBecause Luke believes that player decisions within the game are only "meaningful" when they come with a COST... It's practically his core belief - just look at the game, every benefit you can select has a cost e.g. -10 Strength for "Sheltered from the Void" mod If the game is changed due to community pressure, Bungie adds a hidden punishment - OK you can have that, but here's a punishment you weren't expecting e.g. Random Rolled Legendary gear locked out of Collections, even though all Exotics have a default version that is in Collections etc etc. In this case, every time you change your mind on Artifact mods you must pay more as a punishment

1 ReplyIdk why it isnt free. But since its only 10k glimmer i dont really care. Glimmer is basically worthless with how much you get easily.
-
Whine

A lot of things in this game should be free. Artifact, shaders, kill-trackers... But unfortunately, a lot of people have been fooled into thinking that they have to earn and work for everything because it's a handout. Warframe doesn't charge you to see you kill counts.

12 RepliesThere are many why questions that can be answered to an extent, but the closest you'll get to the truth is because this is Bungie. They do too many stupid things in this game to waste a player's time. Just a few examples of how much time is wasted in this game... Masterwork items, the cost the keeps increasing, and gear that will get the sunset treatment. Loading in a strike and your teammates are at the end of it, and you have to run through the entire -blam!-ing strike to catch up to them. I wonder how many actually do that because I just leave 😄 Loading into PvP at the end of a match or near the end. Constantly having to go back to the tower to collect rewards. No, I'm not referring to the postmaster. Things like the dumb Eververse engrams that are just handing out a lot of garbage or way too many duplicates.

Haven't even used any

3 RepliesBecause in the words of Bungie, it makes it a "meaningful decision" to have a cost... what a crock of shiite.

All mods on the artifact should unlock as you open up the tiers. Why? Because there's already an in-built limiter to what you can and can't equip. Armor pieces only have 2 slots that will fit artifact mods, and the mods themselves have an energy value on top of that. Some of these mods are so expensive energy-wise that you can't stack them with other powerful options because they all go on the same armor and cost too much energy combined (class item, for example). The cost to "reset" the artifact, especially the fact that it goes up every time you do it, is meant to increase grinding time to keep you in the game. Socketing a mod having a nominal fee is an additional tax meant to increase grinding time to keep you in the game. Nearly all systems in Destiny are designed to keep you doing chores in order to get to the few things you actually enjoy doing, because if you could only do what you liked to do, you'd be in and out in 4 hours per week instead of having to spend 3 hours per day grinding. It's all about keeping up player number appearances.

Honestly, the mods on this artifact are terrible.
-
I think it's okay that Resetting the Artifact has a cost, but I don't like that it increases at every reset. At the same time, I don't support the idea to unlock all the Mods at the same time. I'd be happy to see Champions Mods gone forever with them and replaced with other Mods.
-
Why can't we unlock and use all mods on the artifact after enough playtime, seems pointless to have so many mods that many won't ever touch
-
Looks like you’ll need another loan from Spider, your bank. I got checks with him on the back.
-
Agreed so many other games are giving you the freedom to swap and change anytime, without a cost just makes Bungie look out of touch
-
If they were to have the first reset free and then go to 10k and repeat, then I think that would be a little more fair. We've all had that oops moment of selecting perks.
-
I think it's the same reason why we have such a low Glimmer cap.
-
2 RepliesCome on man, 10,000 glimmer is like 5 Datalatace. Spider can give you 10k in a click. I feel there are more pressing issues. Just my opinion.
-
I have a why question , even though it's not a popular one . Why do you question your Master ? Do you need reeducation ? Never question the reason why . I would like to make a reading recommendation for everyone , even though it's your choice to read it or not , the book is 1984 .
-
There’s a lot of things that should be free in this game
-
The really spicy mods cost so much energy to equip that they are pretty much mutually exclusive anyway. We should be able to access everything. Maybe keep adding unlocks for ranking up the artifact. All this system does is kill variety and experimentation. I pretty much set my artifact with the meta mods and leave it every single season.
