How about making the female gear not so much like the male gear as a female we all would appreciate it ....

While I would love for the lady gamers to have their own custom armor, there's one thing that I think keeps it from becoming a reality. The "Boob Armor" issue. In the recent season of the Mandalorian, people lost their ever loving minds when a female Mandalorian had armor that took into account that the wearer had breasts. Those same people also seemed to forget that the men's armor all had six pack abs and perfect pecs, but that's a discussion for another time. So let's imagine we got armor for women that doesn't look like a box with arm and head holes. There would be page after page of "outraged" people who feel that Bungie is just cashing in on the sexay armor to get horny teenage boys to play. I've got a human male, an awoken female and an exo who the game says is a male, but I'm pretty sure is neuter. So I can see where you're coming from on the armor design issue. I do hope that we get new designs for men and women, but with their reduced support from activision and high moon, I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Yeah, the female characters looked more feminine in D1. D2 has definitely been a step back.

Edited by sonicBOOM5431: 2/22/2021 2:44:38 PMThat would hurt bungies political agenda. Just wanna say, I agree with you, but no way bungie would do it for that reason alone. Being woke is more important to them.

It's "feminine". My masculine Exo is insulted by your gender labeling.

What's up baby what's your gt/steam code? -
The whole male/female seperation is so outdated. It's 2021 not 1950, people can wear whatever they like. Yes, on average the male body is slightly larger than a female one, but why not allow our characters to be completely customisable, rather than having separate male and female armour. It's a bit cringe.

Edited by Veldrin: 2/22/2021 7:56:00 PMYou need to be more specific. I don't understand what you mean. The armor is pretty neutral. And in my subjective opinion the Warlocks and Hunters are great for female characters. Titan not so much, but to be honest even for male titans the titans look too bulky and comicbook like. If at all there is no good male armor design. That's why when you want a male looking character you have to put a lot of effort into it or play a titan and be okay with looking just bulky.

Sorry to say this, but this post is probably going to be locked. I agree that there should be more variety, although we do wear combat armor.
Also, there are obviously some not very smart people on these forums, I feel like I shouldn’t be surprised.
threads like these remind me what a wonderful community this is

Good luck with that point with these clowns. Been asking for this for a few years now.😔

Well as a female I’m really not that bothered, how I play is more important than how I look...

If you don’t think your armor is womanly enough, put a shader on it. I suggest Neopop Wave.

Edited by Kestrel, King of Excrement: 2/23/2021 1:48:17 AMAh yes, the tactical chainmail bikini argument. Provocatively designed armor sets are useless in real firefights. Also I seriously doubt that any player wants their Warlock to be wearing an armored tutus instead of robes.
HAIL HYDRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of the armour is made to ne neutral... For both men and woman characters. They both are designed for practical purposes not some BS rpg armour that doesn't protect anything bar the boobs and crotch. The armour is designed to be exactly what it is, armour. We don't want people running around in skampy outfits. Would honestly ruin the game. Guardians... Seriously look at every guardian both player and NPC and see what they are wearing. Practical armour decorated. Not random outfits.

There's enough distinction as is, but I can't say the same for some armor sets though, thankfully those are very few far in between.
-
I think we're all overlooking one important aspect; guardians are basically a military force and our military forces (in the real world) use generic designed tactical gear, yes the formal uniforms can have male and female unique apparel, but guardians don't have formal uniforms we're always in our combat gear and combat gear like flightsuits and marine gear, even swat at the very least all use the same style and design for their armor whether it's male or female. I'm just saying this type of logic could very well carry over to destiny.

Like exotic bras?
-
Oh you mean the Femboy gender? Last time I checked Females only existed in D1 but now they have became less female and more male
-
Are you asking for female armor sets to have different styles than the male armor? That sounds like a massive waste of dev time. You could make the claim that male gear looks too much like the female gear. It's an armor piece dude, shut up.

I miss d1 armor

Just like in real life, theres bigger things Bumgie needs to worry about.......

There are more feminine armor sets out there. I really wanted the warlock looking vest for my Titan. I was going for a softer but still bad-ass Titan (Still not there yet). Warlocks also tend to have the opposite issue. I could see maybe 1 or 2 more, but this is never going to be monster Hunter where every armor set is extremely different for male and female characters. Bungie also tends to fall into that “too woke compared to normal people” area. Plus bungie’s lazy like that...
