Ok, Sniper rifles are good but are rarely used because map design. Breach grenade launchers are dependent on play type and have a bit of a skill gap.
Fusion rifles are pretty useless right now. With the speed at which a person can close the gap on top of the range capabilities of a shotty right now, fusions have no ability to compete in PVP. The majority of PVP players use a shotgun and lets be honest here, felwinters is a bit of a crutch that we are all guilty of using at some point.
The damage of Fusion rifles are good but lengthy charge time punishes users versus the shotgun every time.

So do bows. TTK is awful and promotes peak shooting cause the draw times are too high. Decrease draw time, reduce damage
-
The charge times are fine. The consistency is not. They also require a decent line up of perks to be useful in PvP. At least anything other than the high impact types.

1 ReplyI main Fusion Rifles and this would result in a Nightmare. Fusion Rifles are supposed to lose in super close range fights. If you know someone is charging at you on the radar, back up and time your Fusion Rifle shot as they turn the corner.
-
2 RepliesSee an opponent on the radar Backpedal Pre charge Done It's a weapon type that has the exact opposite playstyle of shotguns. Their shortcomings are extreme inconsistency, god roll dependency and being locked to the energy slot.
-
They definitely do not need a buff they map you and one shot you lol Grenade launchers need a nerf
-
3 RepliesI have 16k+ fusion kills in PVP, and so you have summoned me. Here’s what fusions need (three things): - a legit array of kinetic fusions - charge time masterwork does not affect impact - when you die all your bolts discharge if you are killed mid-firing You’re welcome.
-
I am a fusion rifle player. I like glacioclasm and Bastion. If they would shorten the charge times on these guns they would be absolutely unstoppable. While I would love to see it, I disagree with you. I do wish the glacioclasm had backup plan though.
-
1 ReplyThat's a hard no. Can't help but feel like fusions are actually pretty broken so... Nerf fusions
-
Somewhat. High Impact and Precision Fusions are actually in a fairly good place in PvP right now. Rapid Fire and Adaptive Fusions are both really bad. The easiest fix is improving recoil control at close range but making the recoil drop off steeper. In PvE, Fusions need a boost to damage to be even somewhat competitive with other weapons.
-
I don’t know, fusions are kind of(slightly) in the same place as sidearms right now. I feel like if Bungie touched them at all they’d be broken or worthless instantly. Changes to fusions often causes uproar. That being said, fusions are kind of at the place where shotguns should be except shotguns should have shorter range but are more likely to kill you since fusions should have better range and less damage fall off.

-
as a fusion enthusiast, this can not be a thing.
-
4 RepliesA charge time masterwork on a fusion shouldn't reduce the damage.
-
I feel like the only fusion rifle type that needs a change are rapid fire frames. They have so little impact and range while also stepping on the feet of the shotgun class they don't really have a place in pvp or pve right now
-
As a fusion rifle main I can tell you right now that's a big -blam!- no from me. Fusion rifles don't need less charge time. They just got a buff to range and it's a buff I don't think high impacts even needed the rest of the frames did. Either learn to precharge or run a different special fusions are in a good spot anyone who says otherwise just wants high impacts like glaciocasim to be OP.

1 ReplyYou for real?? 😂
-
5 RepliesYou clearly don't know a god damn thing about fusion rifles
-
Rrrrrriiiiiggggghhhhhhtttttttt

4 RepliesThere is a lot of good points here. Range buff, charge time masterwork, pre-charge fire. Here is an amendment to the initial post with some of the feedback. Your pre-charge is always a risk because with stasis, hunters and titans can close a 20 meter gap and kill you before you can charge your FR. Also, having to pre-charge means you are back peddling or playing as passive versus shotguns in most instances. Shotguns are the easiest class to use and the most destructive. While there are some good FR players out there, lowering the skill requirements for fusion rifles would not be game breaking, it just would impede on a lot of players using felwinters. And how many times do you go up against shotty vs FR? For me every 15 shotgun kills I see a fusion rifle. I’m not looking to turn the tables, just bring Fusions in love with shotty gameplay.
-
You just don’t know how to use a fusion rifle
-
If you’re playing destiny for pvp you’re gunna have a bad time 👍
-
Ironically. I find the high impact fusions to be the best pvp archtype. Precison Frame and Rapid Fire are just not consistent enough.
-
They also need new perks. For the most part fusions and linear fusions have had the same perks since Y2. They need more or better damage perks that work specifically for them. Similar to trench barrel or 1-2 punch.
-
4 RepliesAs an avid Fusion Rifle user, I disagree bro. Personally I feel like charge time is fine, but for goodness sake, tighten the freaking burst spread across the board.
-
High impact frames and bastion are very good. Maybe other frame types need something to be viable in pvp.

Edited by I am who I am: 2/20/2021 2:07:00 AMNo charge rate buff but charge rate masterwork buff so it drops more often on fusion rifles.
