I was recently playing elimination getting shotgun aped and frozen as usual when i thought about how stupid the meta is. Then i thought of something wierd, Map design.
the usual map design for a d1/d2 map is just a plain 3 way map centered around CQC and sharp angles and only about 1 or 2 places per map where you can really space out from the enemy, its claustrophobic. so i thought, huh, if only there was a playlist where i can use a hand canon or a sniper and have some real fun, without some shotgun aping, stasis lovin CHILD killing me 5 seconds after i spawn. somewhere where i can space out.
So i propose to you Bungo, o'l bungie o'l boy, a solution, i call it ALL OUT.
All out is a PvP gamemode the mechanics are similar to Rumble and survival, in which 6 to 12 players battle it out with infinite respawns, the team with the most kills wins the match, but heres the kicker, instead of youre average 3 lane map, the map that you play on is similar to a Gambit match, with little tight spaces and open area. i feel like this will give PvP a fresher scene where sniping is more comon, stasis is less utilised and where more new mechanics can be used and legitamised.
thanks,

Maps is certainly the biggest offender; even without stasis or shotguns, close range engagements are very common and it isn't uncommon to be able to spawncamp players because the map's simpl ytoo small to place you in a safe area. I didn't play much pvp in Y1, but I would imagine that when 4v4 was mostly present, it wasn't too bad (though maps like Dead Cliffs and Cauldron are/would be too small even for that). Now that 6v6 is back and with a major presence, we need larger maps, either by expanding the old ones or making brand new ones. In addition, maps like Dead Cliffs and Cauldron need completely removed from 6v6 gameplay. They. Are. Too. Damn. Small. To. Work.

That's called combined arms friend.

The problem is obvious my man. You are taking a fast paced pvp experience and freezing it.

I approve, and totally agree, give us some larger maps and maybe do an 8 vs 8?

1 ReplyStasis is so bad people are literally jumping off map just to get the weapon done. So bad that people perfer not to interact with the content just to get a gun lol

maybe they could make gambit maps pvp maps, snipers would be nutty though
