Would love to see this become a fun space adventure again like the led zeppelin trailer. If you're gonna make this guy game director, let him direct the game play and see how he does without influence other then story arcs. I'm sure bounty grinding isn't gonna be the plot of the new media Smith is directing so I see no reason to keep it as 99% of the game. [spoiler]... Although I wouldn't doubt the movie is about the guardian reaching power level 9000 for no reason and achieving some random title anyway 'cause that's his thing.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyJust so this is clear for everyone, it seems like Luke Smith is still the creative director of the Destiny franchise, it's just that it seems like they're planning on developing that franchise past just the game series. Luke is still gonna have control, he'll just have his focus on more things.

Hopefully whoever is leading has sense enough to know what fun and replayable content is. Most of all know's how to actually make the game relevant. I stopped playing and it will be this way for a while because I was tired of Lukes's vision of this game that lead the game to going nowhere. Now I'm not saying he was the one making all the called but Holy Cow this game IMO needs some serious help in just about every single aspect of it. Not everyone wants to make this game their life, yet Bunny talks all kinds about how they aren't trying to get players to spend their life playing this game but they are still using the "FOMO" that many players fall for and their actions show with the way overextended grind and stepping over the line controlling how players play their game that they can't even be honest with their own player base. [spoiler]When you have to add things to an activity just to get players to play certain activities that is not a good thing at all. When you have to force players to use certain weapons or mods that is not a good thing at all. When you barely create any quality content that is not a good thing at all. When you leave 90% of your game pointless to even play, that is just straight-out stupid. When you have no structure it leads the players running all over the place going nowhere. When you overextend artificial grind it leads to players not wanting to play.[/spoiler] IMO these things need to change that the game should have moved forward from forsaken, not what they did after forsaken this last entire year.

19 RepliesI don't know how destiny would work as a TV series. It might be to confusing imo. At least with forward unto dawn it was easier to understand, aliens are bad and are trying to kill people. Follow the green guy to be safe. I really don't see it working or ending well. We really don't have a main character. The guardian or any character has no where near the same development as master cheif or any of the other halo characters. Plus the player is any class so you really couldn't include them in media, is it a warlock? A hunter? Master Chief is John 117. People would just get way to confused.

Hopefully he sticks with the idea that D2 should be the last destiny game. No destiny 3. Just bring stuff back from the DCV. Make both games into one and just keep adding on. Don’t want to lose all my exotics again but patiently waiting until all D1 supers, exotic weapons, and exotic armor return.

But you know, maybe recent changes like implementation of master/legendary lost sectors, the new style of exotic quests, and the quests journal redesign, were things that a new lead in training supported to get into the game before the promotion was official? Who knows.
