Bugged Presage Exotic Quest. No weapon.
Completed Exotic Quest Presage. And didn't receive the exotic weapon. Why?? I completed the triumph and everything. Is it bugged?

I just encountered the same problem. Did the quest on my Hunter, did Presage (1250), got the gun, did Presage Master, got a 2nd gun and the cat. This unlocked the mission for my Titan and my Lock, but neither of them got the gun, and: They don't have the quest in the quest archive either and also cannot acquire it from the Arm's Dealer strike. I did close Destiny and relaunch it, so doing that doesn't fix it either.

Where you get to the mass of enemies after the trash compactor, we died and got spawned out the locked door and trapped. Now we have to start over. I'm pissed!!

First time completed with a clanmate, worked fine, got the Dead Man’s Tale. Second time completed it solo, worked fine, got the Dead Man’s Tale and deleted the old Dead Man’s Tale. Third time completed it solo, didn’t wait for the direction diamond to show me the way just went and stole the gun, waited for the timer, got some other stupid gun to fill my inventory but got no Dead Man’s Tale. Went back to Zavala and he doesn’t have it either. Don’t see the quest in the Terminal Quest Archive either. What to do?

1 ReplyThis has happened to me twice now. Did it on my Titan looking forward to seeing what roll I had obtained and nothing. Just ran it on normal with my hunter Flawless none the less and low and behold again nothing. This needs to be fixed. Tired of wasting my time and busting my butt for Triumphs with nothing to show for it!

2 RepliesI also completed it on my hunter and the other 2 people received it fine but I didn't receive the exotic scout rifle but didn't get the triumph for completing it, and I was the fireteam leader and didn't leave the mission. Please fix this and give me my reward because it took a long time to complete

Got a Holdfast armor piece instead of the exotic. I even thought it might be because the quest was originally picked up on a different character. So I did it AGAIN after picking up the quest again from the archive. Did it solo only for the same thing to happen. Nothing but a random Holdfast armor piece. Fix this!

Same thing happened to me last night, I'm the only one who didn't get the exotic but completed the triumph

Did it on my Titan, nothing... except for the triumph. Then did it on my hunter, still nothing. I wont be doing it on my warlock now until its fixed.... fun mission though.

2 RepliesI also did this blind solo and got nothing but the triumph. I'm guessing this is because I originally picked the quest up on my Titan. This was a lot of effort for nothing. It is absolutely not intuitive that I should go to the quest archive for an active quest from the current season. Very frustrating.

7 RepliesHi again, Players who are encountering issues with acquiring the Dead Man's Tale should make sure to do the following: 1. If you originally acquired the quest on another character make sure you have reacquired the quest from the Quest Archive on your current character. If the quest is not in your inventory you will be unable to acquire the weapon. 2. Upon completing the activity make sure you pick up the weapon and wait until the mission end timer appears before leaving the activity. Keep in mind there is a longer delay between grabbing the weapon and the timer appearing. [b]If you leave before the timer, or do not pick up the weapon, you will be locked out from acquiring the weapon until the next weekly reset.[/b] After successfully acquiring the weapon and waiting for the mission end timer to appear, players will need to visit Zavala to receive the weapon.

1 ReplyUmmm, I grabbed the quest and afterwards I left the strike to try to go to the tower, it now crashes my Destiny any time I try to load into the tower, doesn't do it for any other destination, just the tower.

I finished quest on warlock and I got the weapon,. Than finished on hunter, got the pinnacle and that's it, nothing from Zavala, and I still have Intercepted Distress Signal in my inventory.. Looks like I'll need to do it again and hope for quest to move forward..

2 RepliesSame here, I did it solo since the only friend i have thats high lvl to go with was offline took me 2 hours just to not get anything. You figure after hearing osiris telling you go to the tower its safe to go to the tower. [spoiler] also why do they leave his ghost in the middle of the mission to make you go back and pick it up again ?[/spoiler]

Just did the quest with a friend and the same thing happened - he picked up the rifle in the end of the mission, returned to Zavala, and he had the quest icon over his head, spoke to him, and nada. Then the quest disappeared from his inventory, and no triumph, no weapon, nothing... like it never even happened...

3 RepliesSame here. The quest didn't even complete in the menu when I checked. The mission was really cool, but I really don't feel like soloing it again so quickly. I'm going to wait to see if anything comes up from this.
