Make Linears Special Weapons
The damage output just doesn't justify them being heavies.
Edit 18/02/21: Or just buff their damage.

4 RepliesOr.... they could buff them to be worthy of the heavy slot. Personally, they could probably have them in both special and heavy like they do snipers, but ones in the heavy slot need a serious buff.

Izanagi can still be king but whisper should reward for patience and precision to compete. Heavy should be rockets, grenades launchers, machine guns (buff these) swords and when they get around to it flails, baseball bats with nails etc etc.

But with a 30% damage nerf so they dont shit on Sniper Rifles. Personally, I would love them to be Special weapons but the PvP community would go into cardiac arrest. Like, everyone simultaneously.

Nah, see we already have snipers for long range, precision damage, special ammo weapons. Changing linear fusions to special weapons would mean either snipers become irrelevant, or linear fusions become irrelevant. Whichever one the community decides is "worse" will drift into obscurity. They provide some nice variety in the heavy slot, they really just need a small bump in damage.

4 RepliesQueenbreaker in D1 was never a problem, nobody cared for it. I see no reason why making them specials is bad, I see a lot of arbalest hate and its justified. The arbalest can pull some insane BS shots but queenbreakers bow was never busted like that, I see no reason why it cant come as a special.

Buff damage. Keep in heavy slot. If linears become specials i'll probably uninstall. Arbalest is bad enough but what about when there are legendary ones equipped.

God I love all the Arbalest insanity. It's already a special, that's not what he was talking about. But you gotta bring it up anyways because it's the most OP gun ever to be in the game. I don't know how Crucible goes on with it. Nevermind the beyond stale HC Shotgun meta that's been going on with the exception of that small hiatus for 3 years now.

I totally agree! They suck as heavy weapons. They could through the Sleeper in that group too since it still sucks as a heavy laser. They won't buff them enough to make them heavy worthy.
