Overload captains teleport way too much

  • I heard if you use overload stunning weapons, it can actually stun them. Maybe try that?

    • -sigh- See this topic a lot. How many of you haven't got a clue here? It takes more than a single shot to "build up" an overload "charge"....... Your best options right now? Divinity / Swords / SMGs (the deeper the ammo mags the better) / Bows (make sure it's fully drawn or it doesn't activate the only thing to require a single shot btw). Arc nades I believe too this season. The champions are relatively fine for the most part. What I'm struggling to understand.....is how can people's patience be that thin. They have a small break in their teleports. Stasis grenades in combination with an overload Smg is also a move to make. I'll stop there. It's getting old trying to teach people how to do what's relatively simple. Bungie are backing the casual corner......so I'd say give it time and they'll delete your (extremely) minor inconvenience.

      • No, they're perfectly fine. Having an enemy using the power of a Jojo enemy Stand to freeze time every time I manage to get them within my scope and sneak up behind me to loudly and violently clap my cheeks is a perfectly balanced and fun game mechanic. Also, I absolutely love Stasis in PvP, I think power leveling each Season is great content, and Wrathborn Hunts were better than VoG.

      • @ThePlannedCone I do tend to agree with this statement. I myself have noticed they are crazy on the higher difficulty settings with how often they can do this. Sometimes you can't even stun them unless you have a lucky shot of a grenade. I wish they would tone down the movement of them in compared to us. But then would it be too easy?

        • OK I readied all the comments so far, and I notice one thing that you all saying that it takes more than one shot on overload mod to stun the captain. You do know you need to wait for the change on the weapon, and that when it glows a pink colour then you shoot the captain to stun him. This also applies to unstoppable as well.

        • Overload Captains are the worst! Thankfully we have the mod for bows this season. One shot and they stagger.

        • That's nothing. I've recently encountered teleporting Cabal. Whatever those overload captains are on, they must be sharing it.

          • EVERY enemy uses their abilities so damn often that its not “challenging”... its just annoying There is nothing that makes me want to do literally anything else more than sitting and waiting for a single scorn to stop sprinting around while COMPLETELY INVULNERABLE for 10+ seconds. Scorn goes invincible? Wait Taken vandal throws up a bubble? Either sprint through open space and die in end game play, or Wait Champion starts teleporting around like a cracked out toddler? Wait Hobgoblin throws up solar shield and you dont happen to have a pierce mod/weapon equipped? Wait In an FPS thats supposed to be higher mobility and faster paced, there is. So much. God damn. WAITING. Its certainly not every enemy type, but christ its ENOUGH

          • I keep getting this with the overload minotaurs in the legendary lost sectors. They teleport so much and they're imagine to stagger again straight away with is just dumb.

          • And regain health even when disrupted And when disrupted the just "ouch" for 1 second and start running backwards while shooting 🙄 And Bows to disrupt overloaded are garbage And arc grenades to disrupt overloaded... Seriously Bungo?? The most useless elemental grenades you chosen huh?

              • You could use a bow. Ticuu's and Le Monarque work perfectly well against them with the Overload Bow mod. You could also freeze them with Stasis first, then hit them with whatever you're using with an Overload mod (Bow, SMG, Arc Grenade).

              • last season they were super easy to stun with Trustee. Here's a bit of patience. Taken Knight in gambit teleport more

              • If they had about 1 second extra on cool down time between teleports, I would be fine.

                  Duskfields my guy. DuskField, SS, Anarchy. Bakris makes it even more op if not it’s just reg op on other classes lol. Don’t even use champ mods anymore

                  • Here's the secret, you stun them and they stop teleporting for a short time. If you can't time your shot to stun them then it's a you problem

                      Geez y’all blueberries cry about this every damn season. D I V I N I T Y !!! If y’all don’t have that, use a bow. As long as it’s a perfect draw, it’s an AUTO STUN. Le Monarch is probably the best bow to use against them because the poison stops the health regen AND STUNS. We also have arc grenades THAT STUN AUTOMATICALLY ITS REALLY NOT THAT HARD TO JUST WAIT FOR THE CAPTAIN TO TELEPORT THEN SHOOT.
