Its 2021 Sleeper and Legend of Acrius still sucks
Now their catalyst are back, but they sucks.
Sleeper only does 1/3 of TwoTailed damage.
Arcius does half a legendary rocket launcher does in a range where you can just use sword.
Really Bungie??

Linear fusion sucks for it is a heavy weapon without crowd control ability nor high damage output.
SleeperSimulant are now having the same problem, it only does damage slightly higher than ledgendary linear fusion. It takes 3 crits to do the 1 TwoTailed's rocket damage.
Aside from its base damage, many player enjoy its rico-round before, but now they are doing 5% of the original damage to bosses only.
In long-range pvp like gambit invade, it sure obliterate player. But the flinching and charge time makes it less viable than Xenophage.
In short-range pvp WardcliffCoil is just the best.
Acrius
Acrius is currently the less-used exotic by destinytracker.
The damage on it isn't bad, but not enough.
It does half a ledgendary rocket does in one shot.
It is a shotgun, that is pretty good right?No.
A Slug shotgun is just doing nearly the same on crit with green ammo.
Also It has a 55 rpm firespeed meaning that it cant even fire every second, further reduce the damage output.
The range of it is also terrible, rougly 7m only.
However, the handling is awful. If you try to approach enermies and pull it out , you will die trying.
The aoe effect of penetration is great but less effective becauae the range.
Sword is just better and it can even hit on long range (laugh in blackTalon)
I didn't try it on pvp ,but I have never seen anyone holding it since forsaken.

Sleeper ricochet rounds should explode when they get in contact with an enemy and they should bounce like 3 more times or something. Acrius needs to replace long March with something that gives it an actual edge lol

1 ReplyI mean sleeper is literally just an archetype of linear fusion locked to being exotic, same thing with queen breaker just basically being the fast firing frame of linear fusions, but is locked to being exotic. If they made “high impact”/“aggressive frame” legendary linears, they should totally rework sleeper mostly because all it has going for it besides the firing speed is the wacky laser show it makes that isn’t too helpful. If they made it to where you can fire it no mater how long you charged it, but would ramp up damage the longer you held down the trigger I think that would be great, and would give the weapon a little bit of a skill gap for knowing what the optimal time to shoot is for different enemies or situations. The shockgun should maybe stay as a pvp gun, idk just make it consistent. Give it a set spread like the panic attack from tf2, give it more range and equalize the damage between body and headshots because it shouldn’t matter if you shot a dude in the head or the chest with a giant lightning bolt gun. If ya really want it to be like, omega good in pve then maybe make it leave thunder crash spots whenever it hits somebody?

Atheon will make sleeper meta again,I don’t see any other exotic heavy being effective against him ,except maybe whisper -
I was doing regular Perdition lost sector just doing banshee bounties and I was on the last boss and (without catalyst) took out roughly 95% of his health in one critical shot. And I did it over again multiple times and never took him out no where’s near as fast.

6 RepliesAcrius needs to be THE best dps weapon by far for the limitations it has for a heavy. Only cqc utility, the worst handling in the game, limited add clear potential, bad ammo economy, and a catalyst that is essential to make it even usable. It’s design is unfortunately a byproduct of the original two primary/ specials as heavies system. It definitely needs some attention.

Was just thinking about poor acrius. That thing and plenty of others have gotten dumpstered on. Hey bungie how making the titan half wall do something other than be useless since you removed the autoloading. PvE is trash and leads to more useless nerfs than PvP does.

Sadly, the vast majority of exotics in D2 are bad, ever since Bungie decided to combat gatekeeping by making exotics "unique" instead of powerful.

I know this can’t be a thing but in PvP they might as well be social weapons along with Darci and Whisper. It’s not like they’d destroy an already crumbling Crucible anyway.

There was a period where sleeper was good and used in Raids. Skyburner's Oath has never been good and is kind of sad. I'm doing the catalyst and it's so slow going.

7 RepliesAm I the only person in the world that has Legend of Aciris on my Titan but I never finished collecting seals or whatever, so the game doesn’t register me as attaining it. Again, I have it on my Titan and I can use it but I can’t vault it or swap it between characters. At this point, can it I just have it? Seriously, I kind of have it already but it’s just an inconvenient. Anyone else have this problem. 😂

1 ReplyFirst, I’m going to say that it’s amazing that the catalysts are back. I did the NF playlist until I got those 2 (I had the rest except Coldheart which I got while grinding for these two) then went to Shuro Chi and did the kill farm. I’m happy with these two weapons now. Also, people who are saying Acrius is bad are wrong. I’m not getting into it but it’s really strong and it wrecks if you’re using it right. My only concern is where is the catalyst for Fourth Horseman?
