I refuse to play Destiny again until sunsetting goes away
Until then, this game is just one giant waste of time. With weapons that have shorter expirations than some of the food in my fridge. I'm not wasting anymore time grinding for something that will be useless. Then the have the gull to re-issueing the same loot but not letting you use the old "god rolls" you already spent hundreds of hours grinding for is a kick in the nuts. I am not buying anymore seasons of Destiny 2, if sunsetting doesn't ever go away, then I am never playing again. And I know I'm not the only one.

I agree. I hate that a gun or armor I busted my butt to get us all of a sudden obsolete. Plus, kind of a scam that Bungie sold skins for guns in the store that you can’t use anymore....

Not so much "refuse" from me, I just can't be bothered. I logged on for the new season after a couple of weeks off and it's just the same old same old. Go here, shoot these, go there shoot a load of those, go back there shoot some more of these. Just with a different dress on this time around. Losing all my mastreworked stuff last time around really took the shine of D2 and now I'm going to move on. It was fun up until BL (which would have been great without the sunsetting and losing half the map).

I haven't played since 2019 due to Bungie doing a lot of really dumb corporate stuff even back then and honestly the only thing I really miss about the game is the gunplay. I don't miss paying half the price of a AAA game for a "season", I don't miss the bad writing, I don't miss the toxic community, and I've had a ton of fun with games that actually listen to their fans. Be free, run wild across the fields of not getting jerked around by Bungie. Pick up loot and know that it is yours forever.

Good on you. I can't even believe that Trials weapons have a cap. I spent so damn long grinding my ass off for the Summoner and I feel like I only just got a good roll and now it's hitting the cap next season. Absolutely unbelievable how they think this is ok.

Agree, I stopped at BL. I just couldn’t run the same strikes, gambit, etc over and over. Especially considering the rigged RNG. Players constantly receive the same items over and over which further slows the leveling process. No thanks, I’m done. I grinded for NF, flawless title, recluse, revoked, luna, etc...... no more.

1 ReplyI’m still playing but I play a lot less now. Bungie has taken away anyone’s reason to grind a god roll. Weapons I woulda farmed hours for are now weapons that I settle on a “good enough” roll for and just hope they drop in natural gameplay. No point investing time in to gear that will last less than a year. This season especially if I get anything that drops from a previous season my mind instantly goes to “why even keep it if I’ve already got 3-4 months less of use than something current?”

Okay, u mind telling me how having the same guns for years on end is fun. Really, you have to rotate the pile every once in awhile to have a sense of reality. For instance, a gun from 4 years ago shouldn't be in a current loot table with different guns and perks. Imagine if mountaintop or recluse stayed in, or not forgotten, or luna's howl, or idk, the benevolent or like right now, felwinters lie.

Horrible decision from Bungie i always said plenty of good weapons i want to use that are a bit older but still great but cant due to sunsetting it limits player option to use what Bungie want you to use then Armor Sunsetting on top of that a waste of getting armor that will expire in 6 months oh yea forgot the great news Bungie also considering Sunsetting Exotics as well but for a later conversation this might come

2 RepliesI totally get why some people are massively turned off by Sunsetting (I know I've "lost" some guns that I held dear) but this season IMO is showing how its gonna work going forwards and I think its gonna be ok. That being said, if you and others still arent happy, I get that. I really do, and I'd love it if Bungie could somehow reconcile players like you into the new system. All that being said, armour sunsetting was, and still is unnecessary IMO.
