Why do streamers get a free pass on recoveries
How come streamers can do recovs with no penalty but if I even mention the word I get banned. Kind of a double standard.

3 RepliesI've always found it amusing the streamers cry about how bad trials is then they are the biggest culprits when it comes to ensuring its bad. If they aren't openly selling recoveries while streaming it they are sitting in trials 18 hours a day every day it's available ensuring anyone trying trials for the first time gets flattened by no lifers and never want to return. Bungie needs to start watching their streams and banning other accounts they use as well as banning the streamer. Recoveries and cheating need dealt with. Even if bungie implements a change to force flawless people to only que into other flawless people you still have these clowns playing other people's accounts which will bypass the fix anyways.

Kind of a double standard.[/quote] Meh, sounds like the only ones who believes/makes it a big deal are the ones who lack the initiative to make money playing a video game. I respect the hustle. To this day, I have yet to see any of the big name streamers banned from “trying out/test drive” another users account in a the name of “testing a loadout.”

We will ban any of them whenever we can, under our own set guidelines for them. Streamers, Celebrities and even Employees are not exempt from this. Feel free to report Recoveries if you see them, that will bring them to our attention even if the Fireteam or Posts have been hidden. And to be honest, we can't even know who the person posting really is since you can just pick any Username on bungie.net and we don't check for the platform names of Users, nor do we have any list of Streamer's platform account names since that would be a violation of privacy. Everything outside of this website is out of our reach and we cannot take action for anything happening outside of here. That is in the hands of Bungie and while they may or may not ban people for Recovery Services (since some platforms allow them in a certain way, for example a friend jumping on your account) I can assure you that offering services for payment and other misconduct is a pretty fast way to lose any support of Bungie. Edit: Just to clarify, with "we" I am referring to the Ninja Team. We are volunteers and not employed by Bungie. I am not speaking on Bungie's behalf.

Bungie has always catered to the streamers. It has been a thing since old times.

Because it keeps the game closer to the top of the thot site. Which is free advertising and draws some people in

Bungie always caters to the small groups and loses the majority of players. They lost most of the single player base catering to streamers you tubers and sweats. Why do you think the numbers are continually low. The small groups make the most noise and the majority just ups and leaves. Things aren’t gonna get better until they tell those groups to take a hike.

7 RepliesWhile technically against TOS, if they aren't charging people for it I don't see the problem. Streamers largely account share just to access gear they don't have on their own account yet. Or they are just playing with a fan helping them out, not charging them money.

10 RepliesWhat bungie needs to do is enforce their ToS and go after the recovery sites and the paid carry/recovery posts on their own lfg tab. Hell I've seen ads for a trials carry for 50 bucks. And yet they wonder why people don't like trials.

16 RepliesThey don't/aren't recovering unless they are small time streamers who are using the streams to show their 'clients' the progress of the purchase. Streamers are doing what are called "carries" which doesn't break ToS if they don't charge for it. A recovery is breaking ToS by physically getting on another player's account to play for them. Bungie needs to go after the RECOVERY SITES this is how most recov players make money by joining a bulk group to do/work together to be most efficient. Bring down the sites and it makes it harder for recovs to advertise/find new customers.

I'd I'm not mistaken haven't some notable Bungie employees had their accounts recovered by streamers in the past? I could've swore I heard about it during D1 at some point but I can't remember who.

Why bother? The pvp in this game is the worst in the gaming industry, its almost dead they should just remove it along with Luke Smith, bungo actions support fact that paid carries, recovs and cheating is happening, honestly why bother? They will never change for the better, the only way this game that we loves, let's be honest here it's not bungo we care for, can be saved is for another game developer take it over, let's pray to the gaming gods that bungo goes bankrupt Luke Smith finds himself a new job at McDonald's but then again the dude probably can't even make a burger right, the guy is worthless waste of a paycheck.

Streamers don’t get a free pass... They don’t ban anyone for it. You can get banned for talking about it on here but they don’t actually bah anyone from the game for doing it cause it would be a futile effort.
