Oof bungie.... why? Best content locked behind a paywall (i am not f2p i bought the game and all dlc so if you are coming here to say “oh f2p person want free stuff” ur braindead.
Only bungie would add a new game mode and allow us to experience it once then lock it behind a pay wall.... with what I consider D2’s prison of elders equivalent and being possibly the best content available.. imagine if we had to pay for prison of elders on its own, i feel cheated and probably wont continue long after i get the few exotics from the monument.
(Edit: im not asking for the content for free, im just saying we should be aloud to play in the playlist and just not get to use the hammer for bonus loot)

5 RepliesAll of you defending destiny’s greed like you hold stock in the company 🤣 they literally didnt add a single new thing for battlegrounds, its all recycled or retextured assets, increased destination spawn rate. The fact is it should just be a permanent game mode, possibly for people who have payed for beyond light or The next dlc. All of you arguing with me must not see that it is simple for them to make and entertaining. Way easier to make than a strike or even a pvp map. The reason it is good is because it makes you feel like you are actually at war with the cabal rather than just running through a mission like most of the other content in the game. Do i think there should still be parts you pay for? Yes. The season pass has 100 items you PAY FOR. It has the hammer, honestly they should have made it so you dont get those stupid new engrams or be aloud access to helm if you are not a season pass holder but still allowing you to play in the playlist.

PoE was a dlc for D1 vanilla, this season is for Beyond Light. They're both paid for via a pass, there isn't much of a difference here.

10 RepliesYou seem to have this backwards; it’s the best content [i]because[/i] it’s behind a paywall, not in spite of it. Gambit, strike playlist, and crucible used to be good content too when it was pay to play, because it was all actively supported. They stopped putting effort into those activities as it wasn’t monetised. In other words, [i]all[/i] content should be behind a paywall. If it was, this would probably be a much better overall product than it is now.

3 RepliesEhhh I agree it sucks but you are also wrong about this at the same time. You did have to pay for prison of elders. Nothing about destiny 1 was free to play until the very end of its life span. And this activity is no different than sundial or vex offensive which only paying players could do and ended at the end of the season just like this one will.
