Ticuu's Divination catalyst quest bugged?
I'm on the last part of the mission where I have to defeat guardians with the bow itself. Whenever I tag someone then trigger the explosion and get a kill, there is no symbol just my name and theirs. It doesn't count toward the quest.
I've tested it and confirmed the explosion kills do not count toward it and don't register as a kill from the bow. It has to be the actual shot of the arrow itself that kills them. 34 kills or so in with the bow, only 4 have counted.

Figures it would be bugged on the pvp part. Bungie trying to make you pvp more. 😂

I got the kills done, but honestly I wish I wouldn't be forced into pvp all the time for catalysts and quests. I know many people love pvp, but I don't, I'm bad at it and I just prefer playing a game with other people than against. Of course if you only do pvp if needed you lack gear for it too, and it's just no fun being forced to do it against experienced pvp pros just to get your quest progress.

I got money that says they won't get this fixed until after the season is over and we lose the progression perk. Honestly this bow has no business having it's catalyst ties to PvP. It's really bullsh!t that Bungie keeps doing this.

It seems to be really inconsistent for me. Sometimes the explosion counts, sometimes it doesn't.

For me it's sometimes counts, sometimes not. I already have the 4x catalyst progression perk from season pass but still not counting properly. For example, in the last match i got 5 killing blow with the bow and the progress only counted 8 (instead of 20).

8 RepliesI have had the same problem, I killed some guardians with the Ticuu's Divination explosions in a match and they didn't count towards the completion of the quest. I also noticed that even if I kill someone without tagging him first, there is no bow symbol after my name. If that is how it's supposed to work, it's going to be a very long quest...

4 RepliesConfirming that this happened to me as well. Why would you have to complete a quest killing someone with an exotic bow while being unable to get the kill because the bow's exotic perk does it for you, and you don't even get progress for it? I hope devs will take a look into this and actually make it so that the explosion kills also count because otherwise this is going to take a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long time.
