Every time i try to launch D2, i get a pc error code of sorts that mentions "An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction. (0xc000001d) occurred in the application at location ..."
Ive looked around and didnt find anything that helped, ive repaired the game files, re-installed D2 and checked my drivers, nothing seems to be working.
Im not sure if this is a game issue, steam issue or some external pc thing, but does anyone have some advice/help?

I am also having the same issue which has only started since I updated the game this Tuesday. I have done all the same things in an attempt to fix the issue with no success(Update Drivers, Reinstall game on two different drives, verified game files...etc)hope they find a fix quick because this is so annoying.

Bungie has recently released a hotfix for Destiny 2 on Steam. However, they are still investigating other crash issues at this time. For reference: @BungieHelp via Twitter recently posted: "We are currently investigating reports of players who are unable to launch the Destiny 2 client on Steam. We'll provide more information once it becomes available." https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1359559966483382274

2 RepliesEdited by Klaskeladden: 2/9/2021 11:48:39 PMSame issues here, steam just refuses to launch the game. I've tried reinstalling d2, reinstalling steam, run as administrator, run in compatible mode, tried clearing my download cache in steam and restarted my pc 3 times with no luck.
