BUG: Game CRASHING when trying to enter Jetsam of Saturn in Tangled Shore
Game will hang then crash without change whenever I attempted to enter the above area via either the North Entrance or the South Entrance. I doubt this is my system because it's never happened before but the game crashes every time. Loading anywhere else in the shore has no issues as of yet. Will update if change occurs.
Update: Tried walking in, thinking it might be my sparrow. Still crash. Both attempts. Something's wrong here.

1 ReplyThis is still a problem on the 18th of March 2021. No matter what I tried the game crashed for me and a friend whenever we would enter the Jetsam of Saturn area. [b] However if you need to do the Lost Sector in that area you can launch the nearby Strike and do it that way. The game did not crash when doing that.[/b]

1 ReplyDitto, same problem, crashing in Outskirts on EDZ. Was considering the DLC package but now I'd feel foolish doing so. Hope this can be fixed.

Destiny2 still crashing on 2/22/2021: What the hell Bungie? I don't even have beyond light. I'm still on Forsaken, and I can't do the bounties for Spider bc the game freezes whenever I try to explore the EDZ. I just got back on D2 yesterday after a long ass time of not playing, and now it ain't working! All the other games on steam run absolutely fine. Why can't things just WORK! Why do we have to resort to all these stupid workarounds, and even after all that...it still don't work. My 2060 Super is still kicking ass at 4k running close to 60fps when things just stopped working. Get on it Bungie!

2 Weeks later I still crash after entering jetsam of saturn (screen freezes and program goes to desktop 30 sec later if I wait). Any fixes soon?

I can get into Jetsam, but can't play there for very long before I get the crash. 2/3 times so far I've been riding my sparrow through, the other, I had just looted an "advancing commander" chest.

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm having the exact same issue. I thought maybe it had something to do with getting the exotic quest "Voice from the Other Side" because I never had this issue right up until then. I went ahead and abandoned the quest just to make sure, but it's still crashing whether I enter Jetsam from the north or south.

It's still an issue on 21/02/21 (or 02/21/21, depending on your country of origin), first the servers went down late last night and now I discover this glitch, please bungo sort it out

I also have this on PC. I did manage to do quests in there but not going there freely. This started for me with the seasonal change release. It crashes every time.

I have the same issue, have attempt all common crash fixes. Soft lock and game close about 25 - 45 seconds after entering Jetsam.

Same. Still freezing then crashes no matter where I try and enter from.

I've had the same happen to me. Twice now I loaded into the Broodhold strike from the strike playlist and crashed. First time it took a while to crash, second time it crashed almost instantaneously. I'm on Windows 10, using nvidia driver 473.30. My PC has an i5-8600k @4.8ghz, GTX 1070ti, 16gb DDR4 @3200mhz and the game is installed on a samsung evo 860 ssd. Putting it here in case it matters.

I have the same issue. The game freezes up and crashes to Desk Top every time I try to enter Jetsam of Saturn. No error codes can show up if it just crashes straight to the desktop. Tried like 15 times in different ways. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Updated video card and made sure everything is good. It only started for me with this latest season update

Same issue, can't confirm anything but Jetsam area....just got back to the game to play with friends and crashed 4 times tryin to enter. By sparrow or on foot, no difference. RTX 3080 windows 10.

3 RepliesSo the original problem of people crashing into activities was hotfixed since it seemed to be a network issue, I was wondering if using a firewall to block traffic from the ports destiny 2 requires to be open and after blocking then (inbound and outbound), no more crashing into jetsam and archers line. So it seems to be a problem with connecting to other people. With the firewall blocks the game is perfectly fine, biggest problem is that as is it blocks traffic so no fireteams (basically a solo game).

I've had the same problem. Crashed about 9 times trying to figure it out. Reinstalled the game, my display drivers, windows updates, etc. What a mess. Definitely not on my end.

3 RepliesHello. This crashing is a matchmaking issue. If you change firewalls to block destiny 2 you will stop the crashing, but your game will be very lonely!

I haven't tried entering any of the other zones, I just recently returned to Destiny 2 and picked up a bounty in Jetsam of Saturn. I crashed twice trying to get there, the first time I thought it was something wrong on my end, but the 2nd time showed me that it was the area. My drivers are all updated but it doesn't seem to help, hopefully, it gets fixed soon.

I have a brand new Asus Tuf F15 NVIDIA 1650 Ti with updated drivers. Uninstalled and then re-installed the game. Same issue. I just bought D2 with all the expansions also.

Same problem here with Jetsam of Saturn and a fireteam of two people. My friend was the host und had the freeze and CTD without any error message. I was able to walk around 10 - 20 more seconds before I also had freeze and CTD. Gamebreaking for new players that are directed to that locations to do a queststep!
