Too Much Spam

Enemies are constantly able to spam light, heavy and stomp attack. I did DSC raid and watched Atraks stomp every time a character ran by him. No recharge, no build up, no mechanics. Just spam. Further more I went to Rez someone and watched every enemy in the room slam their attack on my teammates orb. No reload, no charge up just spam attacks. Doing a Exodus Crash nightfall I watched a overload champion teleport 7 times in seven seconds. No charge up. Just spam teleport. It’s not fun playing against a game that doesn’t have any mechanics. It’s not ducking behind a corner waiting for the game to forget about you. Please add some cool down mechanics to your enemies so we can actually create real strategies.

  • Overload captains are the worst. I got juked by one in the Sepiks nightfall cuz he kept teleporting and I couldn't stop him because you have to keep a constant fire on him to suppress him. Imagine being able to teleport every split second while still being able to fire at your enemy. Some enemies need a -blam!-ing overhaul.

      • Give the big guys finishers instead of stomp mechanics. Make them invincible while they perform it as well so that it's not really worth trying to abuse a boss with a sword or shotgun. Pretty sure bungie could design some cool finishers for the big guys.

        • If you time your melee just when a boss goes for a stomp attack then you won't go flying into a wall. I do it all the time. More often than not it saves my life, unless my health is already low.

        • Stomp and overloads mechanics are totally broken. These modules/programs are very linear and added to every type of enemy who uses them. These modules do not even take priority, but are simply added layers, whatever situation or physics, to these enemies’ list of actions. That’s why overloads can teleport everywhere non stop sometimes even after being overloaded or when physics should stop them, and why some stomp feel completely unreal. “Bungie’s consistent inability to deliver content in quality and time.”

          • Agreed. When they spam the AOE weapons, with no break and/or reload, I curse Bungie’s name out loud.

          • The Taken enemies are the absolute worse at this, I hate fighting against Taken Captains, Centurions and Knights because they only spam their abilities

              • That’s more so on the AI side of things. And I feel like Bungie could definitely rework some mechanics. I think they already are.

                • This is the result of us getting more and more powerful , either enemies have to scale in power or have absurd and annoying mechanics .

                  • The overload champions in EC are bugged so stunning them doesn't even work. You'll get the audio cue and text in the game feed that they're stunned, but they will keep teleporting and attacking.
