The collective IQ of PvP players is less than 10
Are people really THAT stupid? The number of times I’ve seen people walk straight past zones they could capture to them go on and instantly die is unreal. By no means am I am amazing PvP players but damn, capture zones people....

Here is the funny part of it too... the more you go for the objective...the more kills you get. So they pass the objective up to search for people when you don't have to search. They come to the zones and you kill them there. I get 30-40 kills a game playing objective

I had an argument with someone who thought he had carried our team when he died 20 times and gave our opponents life advantages so the we lost. A LITTLE bit more complex than controlling zones in CONTROL but I think everyone should get that SURVIVAL is about surviving.

I'm not sure if it is stupidity or asinine bounties that force people to play a certain way. I'd prefer bounties to be capture flags rather than kill x, more team focused than it is currently.

4 RepliesEdited by michael: 2/9/2021 3:19:22 AMDestiny needs to be like call of duty domination where if you get a kill near a zone or step on it to assist in the capture you get attacker, defender, and capture assist points/medals. Basing your ability to play an objective on if you can or can not stand on the zone up until the moment your team has it is ridiculous. By this logic, only the flag runner in capture the flag is playing the objective. Only the reciever is playing the objective in football. Only the forward is playing the objective in soccer. You can also overplay an objective. If you overextend into the enemy spawn to beeline for the objective you can flip the spawns, feed them kills, and overall accomplish nothing. Map control is just as important in objective based modes and if you ignore it as a factor you will lose. If you fail to grasp this and at the end of the day you still shit on your teammates for simply having a low capture count on the scoreboard, then one with 10 IQ is you.

PPL just don't care or want to catpure objectives. This is why so many games end in "I'm calling it".. it just depends on which team has a player or two that actually wants to capture the zones. They should just make IB clash again.. Game mode would be way better off.

Kill people trying to get to it, then run off and leave it there for enemy to respawn and grab it. I get maybe you dont want heavy, but better you pick it up and waste/die with it than the entire enemy team grabbing their wardcliffs.

2 RepliesGetting people to actually play to objectives is always a problem in shooter games. Between bounties and triumphs that encourage toxic play.....players who just want to shoot other players in the face and don't care about winning....and selfish players who only care about their K/Ds and don't want the extra risk of dying that comes with capping a point? It gets really difficult at times.

Blame bounties. Most the people doing that aren’t pvp players and just want the bounties done. Me included.

IB maybe a bit more so but so many players fixate on purely capturing zones that it’s a detriment to the team. Control is about controlling the flow of the match. If you’re on B then it makes sense for a team mate to move forward past B to challenge any enemies that are coming for it. Players who rush from zone to zone are likely to just run into the opposition and gift themselves kills/points or just flip spawns and ruin any fluidity in the match and any hope of your team controlling the match. I’m not defending players who just want to farm KD and kills but I’m just saying that purely capturing zones doesn’t mean you’re helping the team any more and could actually be hindering your chances of winning.

I highly doubt the IQ of 10. That would mean they would be a barely functioning mannequin. They wouldnt be able to turn on their PC or console.

I mean I like to win as much as the next guy but you don’t always have to stand on the zone to play the objective, sure capping the point is important but so is map control. I’ll play the point if it’s advantageous but I won’t put myself out of position on the map for the point. If your team doesn’t have map control and you go solo and lose a 1v2 you are feeding them.

I don't know what this "zone" thing is but sometimes in crucible I step inside a circle and a number starts go to up and I'm pretty sure if I let it hit 100 it'll kill me, so I run away. #smart
