I have been busy for the past few weeks and have only now been free to try my Solo run, spent a good chunk of my Sunday doing so (with "some" frustrations) of course (wanted to avoid walkthroughs), but, I was prepared for this. Finally, made it to the last room, where all I have to do is kill the final boss with all their many minions, but wait... That's not a Taken Hive Knight...?

I looked at Youtube walkthroughs (after failing to complete this room the billionth time) to compare the differences. Only to see, that this setup is all FAR from how others have SOLO FLAWLESS this boss... Am I missing something here???
I'm now in a closed arena with TWO Taken Cabal named KORUSK & TARASK (Lighteaters of bluh bluh) basically are the Hulk duo that can absorb damage from RAID EXTOIC weapons, that fire seeker orbs every 5 seconds (not joking) ALWAYS hiding in tiny corners. But also summon reinforcements (Taken Thrall) that act like Neo from Matrix 1 the moment I even point my gun at them!
Bungie's Destiny 2 has made me agro more than once (mainly cause of Match Making/PvP lol), but I always found a reason or way forward, always... However, THIS $^&%, is just plane poor NPC design and straight up bull. If you expect people to be able to solo this none wavering, unyielding, constant bombardment with zero room to breath or to advance (because they're too busy with either shooting orbs that never stop or enemies that never allow the player to touch them) then THAT there is an automatic fail in game creation basics! The developers need to remember that their game is meant to be solved and won by the player, not be a waste of their hard-earned money and especially TIME!
A good game is like a hard riddle: It can be complicated and difficult to understand at first, but ultimately, can be deciphered, solved, and even rewarding for the participating player.
Long story short... THERE MUST BE A SOLUTION!!
If I fail again tomorrow (my last chance to try) with this ONE Triumph, then THIS is the straw that finally breaks my loyalty to this franchise. If the game creators believe that I will continue to spend more of my time and profit on a product that doesn't deliver on given me a fun time away from negativity.
Then I'm simply going to stop rewarding them for taking my money...
Thank you for your time

I’m happy I’m not the only one that is struggling on this particular boss.

Bosses rotate weekly. Imo, the easiest one to solo was last week since there wasn't any elemental shields at place, the Acolytes were much easier to kill than Knights, and the Psions could be dealt with through AoE damage with a general lack of push walls. I haven't played Harbringer this week so I don't know the boss layout, but two bosses sound annoying. In any case, the activity's meant for a fireteam so of course it'll be tougher solo.

Rotation. This week was kind of a pain though.

It's on a weekly rotation lol

There's different bosses that rotate weekly, each one having different optimal strategies to do solo-flawless.

I think this week's final boss(es) are the hardest to overcome as a solo player between the ever spawning adds (specifically the Hobgoblins) and the over all tankiness of the bosses themselves (enough to make Urzok, the Hated look like a cake walk), but the triumph is not going away come the start of the new season.

You've got to think man, they don't expect every single player to solo it. That's why you don't get anything from the triumphs as such because it's there for people to flex.

It rotates.
