Bungie, I tried the prophecy dungeon way back when it came out and it was too hard. Now I tried it with a buddy and we are both 1266, 200 levels higher than your mis-labeled "Recommended Power 1050" and we're still getting killed very quickly. 1250 enemies don't kill us as quickly as these supposed 1050 ones do!
Could you please update your forgotten, outdated labels??? You have many and this is just one. If it does scale to your level, THEN DISPLAY THAT FOR US BUNGIE?!? You would save a lot of people from getting angry at this video game if those labels were accurate.

Regardless of it being 1050, content like dungeons, whisper, harbinger, and raids have much tougher and more aggressive enemies. It has always been like this, and your power level advantage is capped at 50 power levels above said content's recommended power level.

6 RepliesIt is 1050. Being 1050 and 1250 isn't different. Its 1050 to allow you to use sunsetted gear.

Bungie has programmed all enemies level with you so you're never immune to them. So that way you're not a god in early game content. So that is why this happens. 1050 is the level to not get too beat up by the 1060 boss of that dungeon. The only one that is wrong is Deep Stone Crypt for the final boss is 1250 and they say 1220 ...

Power level is nothing more than way to gatekeep content. It's the higher than average ad aggression that makes Prophecy challenging because it's meant to be an endgame activity.

You can see this when you are killed that 1050 dreg now shows your power level as the recommended power. The "recommended" is just the starting point for the activity, if you are below that expect to get lit up, everything above that expect it to be "on level" as there is no way to over level an activity

Bungie hasn't historically done a good job of wording or labeling things clearly and accurately.. Sniper resistance/AoE resistance mods help a bit, but I still agree, the hobgoblins and the knights feel pretty lethal if you stop moving for even a second. And that stupid fire the taken knights shoot.. good lord, I take less damage from champions in nightfall strikes..
