Destiny slows down my internet speed, even when the game is closed
Every time I open Destiny 2, my internet speed goes from 100MB/s to 10MB/s. It affects my entire PC. The only way for me to get my speed back is to restart my PC. I tried resetting my router and all connections, but nothing has worked. This only happens with Destiny. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue? I'd rather not restart my rig every time I'm done playing the game.

I personaly only started having this problem after witch queen dropped. Problem usually the same internet at 100mb/s download and 25mb/s upload and as soon as destiny opens, it drops boths of them to realy low values. Unlike you though the connection returns to normal as soon as i close the game, without need to restart the router or the pc or steam. Also i tried this with 2 different internet providers and the problems persists only on content that has 3+ players (raids, gambit, crucicle, iron banner and trials). From the behavior i wouldnt be supprised if its even the anti cheat causing this problem at the first place, as i get errors like plum and weasel from that i understand are related to the anti cheat in the first place, either that or there is Heavy traffic from our locations to their servers.

I'm having the same exact issue. I have Gb internet, when I connect directly to the router I get close to that Gb in download speeds. As soon as I turn on destiny my connection plummets to less than 10 Mbps and the game lags so much it's almost impossible to play. Please help!

It could be because of Steam running in the background. Please try to close Steam and attempt to do the same speed test.
