70 bucks wasted
It feels like I wasted 70 dollars on this game.
The reliance on RNG, the lack of imagination in game development. It just feels like a waist of money.
Take legendary lost sectors. There is no reason to lock the exotics behind solo run. Also the mechanic of limited revives attached to champions that can just spam teleport, spam stomp, spam attacks of all kinds. It’s just boring.
Add in the lack of anti cheat, sunsetting, mix in an extremely toxic community, what a waste.

Bungie marks up the price on release for profit, then over time reduces the price to the original cost but tells you it's a reduced price. Oldest trick in the book.

Last year I bought the complete shadowkeep edition for 70 bucks or whatever it costed. I only played first and last seasons, cause undying grind got me so burnt out that i could not handle the same grind all over. This year i got BL with the game pass, and decided to get each season one at a time and so far that’s the best choice. Don’t repeat your mistakes, never preorder a full 70$ game, you’ll be disappointed 99% of times.

And saying theres no reason to lock exotics behind solo runs, I could say the same for Raid exotics as a solo player but do you see me complaining? You want something? Suck it up and grind for it. Hand holding is what led to D2 vanilla where RNG wasnt a factor and D2 was a casual game with no replayability. No thanks.

1 ReplyI can hear bongo now... Muahahahahahaha.... Enough people paid, so now they can kick back until next year. For what it's worth... I paid $10 for this season since I'm on xbox and I thought that was a mistake. I do like the new patrol area, but the lack of progression leveling and a DLC that was basically do 100 core activities to be given another quest step to run the same 100 core activities. I didn't mind the lost sectors (outside the leveling part) The champions are a bit annoying solo.

6 RepliesI don’t want to be mean and tell you to get good but exotics behind lost sectors imo the one of the best things they could’ve done. It means there’s 0 RNG involved and your guaranteed to get them after a few runs. They’re not hard to complete at all (The 1250 or 1300 next season) and even the harder version isn’t too bad. The biggest issue with them is the high level, if you at or above that then they’re easy. There’s only one thing I would change about them is once you get them the first time then they are added to the general exotic pool so you can get better rolls without farming the lost sectors.

i only bought the 70$ pack cuz i had such a blast doing as much as i could on a new account before content vaulting, now i hardly touch destiny. if i knew the seasons would be so bad i would have just bought the story and went back on break

This is just dumb consumer decisions. Why did you pay for a game that has relied on RNG since it's inception if you don't like RNG reliance? That's like me going out and ordering strawberry cheese cake and then getting upset with the restaurant because I paid $7 for cheese cake with strawberry in it. That makes no sense. You need to find a game that better caters to what you want.

I think a lot of the toxicity is because of Bungie’s sheer stupidity and ineptitude. Whenever players want a feature to be added, or something to be “fixed”, Bungie implements it as poorly as humanly possible. This creates a dilemma, because what would normally be a good idea and a sound piece of advice for any normal studio, it becomes a point of contention within the community, because people are worried that Bungie is gonna find some new inventive way to f*ck it all up and make the game way worse.
