basically hit a wall with the "born in darkness part 4" quest
I originally started playing Destiny on PS4, but I migrated to PC for the release of beyond light.
My current problem is that I just got to step 2 of "born in darkness part 4" and I am unable to complete it. Born in darkness part 4 requires completions of nightfalls with a stasis subclass.
On PC, my only expansion is Beyond Light, so I can't play the Forsaken and Shadowkeep nightfalls. On PS4, I own all the other expansions, So I can play the nightfalls but I can't use stasis without Beyond Light.
Basically, I can use stasis and can play nightfalls, but not at the same time without buying another $40-$50 expansion. Essentially, hitting a paywall for any quests needing the completion of nightfalls with stasis.
Ironically, I was considering purchasing Forsaken and Shadowkeep for PC a couple of months ago, but I didn't because I believed that if there was a quest that needed those expansions to progress I could just play them on my PS4. I really want to finish the quest ASAP, but I can't afford it now.
Also, something I don't get Is why I can't use stasis on PS4? Since cross-save was released, as long as I already unlocked them on PS4, I have been able to use the Forsaken supers on PC, but why not with stasis on PS4? I already unlocked it, why can't I use it?
Anyway, Is there any workaround for this paywall because without completion, I can't unlock some of the aspects of stasis and the story behind them?

Unfortunately if the nightfall for the week is a DLC nightfall you don’t own, you’ll have to wait for the next week for the nightfall to change.

Allo there, At the time you need the licence to be able to use stasis which is different to how the forsaken supers worked. Bungie may change this in the future but for now you need to own beyond light to use it. As for your issue, you'll need to wait until the weekly reset tomorrow and hopefully the next nightfall strike is one you can play with the licences you own.
