If there is not an option to opt out of cross play and console players are forced to play with PC cheaters/hackers this game is done.
Everyone knowns that Destiny on pc is plagued with cheaters and hackers. It is the sole reason why I don't play on PC.
Forced cross play, I believe it will be the final nail in the coffin for the crucible and if crucible dies this game is dead.
Don't force us to play with PC cheaters.I know console has it's own issues with mods we shall not name, but pc is a hot mess. I'm telling you people will leave for good.

3 RepliesI'm a consoleplayer that permanently switched to pc about a year ago. Seriously, it's not so bad. You don't face cheaters as often. I stuck to playing a controller, and I don't play better or worse than I did before. Don't listen to the YouTubers and streamers.

2 RepliesShinobi on the sega gamegear will be the death of destiny.
-
Was it the death of Call of Duty?
-
PvP is only part of Destiny so it won't kill Destiny, but it might kill off the PvP mini-game.
-
I'm cool with it PVP is pretty much dead anyways At least this will help
-
It will be the death of pvp. So.... *shrugs*
-
It’s not even that bad stop crying about it already...

1 ReplyYou will barely run into cheaters as a PC Player and when the play pool spreads out across all platforms the odds are getting almost insiginificant. What you should be worries about is that the controls on the PC are direct and fast while they are wobbly and indirect on consoles even after the NextGen Update. I believe they did that for FPS reasons not sure why it is still significantly different. It's like your character has a heavy weight attached to the hips. When you run into a PC Player with controller, the PC Players aim is quite sticky and improved, when you run into someone who knows his way around mouse and keyboard all you can do is thinking of the inscription of your grave stone. Decent console players will be dominated by average PC Players. I played this game 6 years on console, downloaded it for fun on PC and I was shocked, every time I went back to console i was barely able to control my weapons anymore (FPS Reasons made it weird) Now the NextGen Update fixed the GPS but it still is a giant disadvantage in the controls alone not even factored in the larger screen and the further distance to the screen create another major disadvantage.

Edited by Attack Wabbit: 2/1/2021 10:21:34 PMNo one in Destiny community I've been asking for cross-play in fact we don't want it. The only thing cross-play is going to do is introduce cheaters to console. We all have been getting along just fine without it we don't need it fixed the game. PS end sun setting

Bungie wont invest in crossplay to have an opt out that most of the player base will click on. I think Bungie are consolidating the player base. At peak times pc has 80k players, stadia has 800. Consoles are about 380k each. So a player base at peak around 800k or so. By lumping everyone together they have solved the cheating problem for pc, which is to dilute it considerably by adding console. Streamers content creators on PC are very happy with this as their content creation will become much easier, pc m&k 200fps, Vs the vast majority of the player base still on old gen console at 30fps. The forums will be on fire after the first weekend of trials.

Rip PvP.

2 RepliesBungie: cross play will save the game Cheaters on PC: hold my beer
-
I would be fine if console crossplay is forced.
-
its going to add more "connectivity" issues for many players. as if there werent enough already.
-
Nobody ever asked for crossplay with PC, we just wanted it between playstation and xbox. The suits wanted to maximise their profits they dont play the game nor know anything about it. Then just like the games that have cross play with PC mainly warzone we have to suffer and be cannon fodder to the PC players with their double frames to you, better sound easier shooting (mouse and keyboard) wider FOV not to mention the cheats which most of them have. Its seems like a very Activision idea which is weird because I thought they cut ties. I dont play much anymore because I find it repetitive to he honest but I do like the game, I'll play when they add more content theres just not enough to do, but the chances are I wont play at all when they add this game killing cross play.

There's probably more cheating in trials than other game modes.. Then again, I've ran into a few during control QP.
-
Tbh I have played destiny 2 entirely on pc and I will almost never experience cheating, really the only place where it exist is in trials and competitive there is literally no reason for them to cheat in any mode besides those more so for trials than even competitive. (If you stated you don’t want cheaters in those modes I would understand and would agree you have a fair point.) but to say that cheaters infest all pvp ob pc in destiny would just be disingenuous.
-
Agreed. My clan and I were discussing this very topic before the twab came out. If they truly want console pvp to finally die force cross play on us.

Edited by A high-value target: 2/1/2021 12:02:16 AM
Everyone up vote this so it gets to the top. Bungie NEEDS to see this as I don’t think they have thought about it. Luckily OP has 200 IQ and realised this but he needs to let the professional game developers know before it’s too late. Please upvote!!
smfh

Forced cross play confirmed???
-
It is a bad game right now no matter what they do. Their Gus are so out of wack right now. I don’t use hc’s or stasis. It is cheesy.
-
Yes it definitely needs this !!!
-
They may up doing what happened to modern warfare 2 in the early 2010s. The cheaters were insane.
-
Odds are in quickplay you'll probably see 2 to 4 pc players per lobby and the odds of seeing a cheater in qp atm in pc is very low. In comp it's based on true skill and if your not very good the odds of finding a cheater is extremely low. In trials you'll see a cheater maybe once every 5 cards.

Personally.. I'm looking forward to playing with my son and brother in law but unless they can come up with an actual anti cheat... its gonna be a donkey show.
