Ammo Scavenger should not work in pvp

I feel like yah get more than enough ammo as long as you get kills or steal like the filthy little racoon you are. Disable it in pvp Bungie, should help with people running around with nothing but a special

  • I personally think ammo crates should be a thing again. At that point run double primary or a primary and special. Or scavs not working and start with one special.

    • My personal idea would be to have everyone drop in at the beginning with normal starting amount and on death half the amount, you gain ammo through rng, primary ammo kill's are 50% chance, special is 25% chance. Ammo drops for the person that killed the enemy or persons if they did fairly equal damage to the downed enemy. I would prefer no ammo scavengers period. The problem with this though is that you would probably end up having people use other cheap methods like running a bow and assault rifle combo. Shoot them once with the bow and finish them off with the assault rifle (I've run into a few simps that run this to unfortunately decent degrees of success) so Bungie may have to ban certain combos or at the very least slow down the swap time between weapons that would force them to be better off just using the bow. There's other combos to but I'm not going to list them all. Needless to say they could just make a mode that only allows one primary weapon only, no supers, same timeout on abilities for everyone, and preferably no stasis as their grenade's and abilities just don't work with this type of game type. Not sure how exotics would fit in this, would probably have to be a select list of what you can bring in to not break this mode. I'm sure that I will probably get down voted by all of the shotgun ape's but I don't care, this is my 2 cent's.

        • I think 1 scav should work not 2. Because by default you only pick up half of what the enemy had. 2 scavs gets you more than the enemy had and when you die with it if they have 2 scavs the special just gets more prominent.

          • Maybe double scavenger you mean? I mean i play telesto (yes i like telesto, i don't care what you'all think) and its very strong but not broken as hell was in forsaken, its just a good pvp fusion that can kill from long distance if you hit your shots.

              • No way a bunch of kids who crutch on ohks downvoted the post. Crazy how half of them went from 0.8s too like 1.5s once they were able to crutch on shotguns.

                • I don't care if it's 1 or 2 but the less special ammo the slower the gameplay. One special, when people run out, they will play it safe until they get the next round. No special ammo = last word/sidearm/smg meta.

                      • Special ammo definitely needs tuned. You shouldn’t be able to “main” a special weapon. They’re called primaries for a reason. Once you die you shouldn’t respawn with special. You should have to kill somebody to pick it up. And other people shouldn’t be able to pick up your special. Just some random thoughts off the top of my head.

                          • I dont think the scavenger is the problem. I think the problem is there is no cool down on running over a brick. If there is a cool down say 10 seconds one guy can't run over 3 bricks and have 9 shot gun shells he will only get that one brick which equals 2 shells and have to keep moving.

                            • 1 scavenger is ok giving 2 ammo per brick forcing people to use they're primary more often but 2 scavenger giving 3 or more ammo per brick is too much. I know at least on console many of us use traction while pc can afford to not run traction and can use double scavenger mods. I dont think they should be able to stack and for pve they should increase the ammo when using scavenger. I think a fix for it would to be make traction the standard sprint and make a general special scavenger rather than weapon specific that cost 3

                              • I think they need to cap scavs at 1 at least. I don’t know about 0 scavs because what about rapid fire frame shotguns and snipers which rely on more ammo? If we disable scavs those weapons still need 2 pickup at least

                                  • I think 1 scavenger is fine, but 2 is stupid. Getting 3 ammo per brick is just dumb. 2 rounds for a potential 2 kills or 1 clean up kill is what it should be. 3 rounds for 3 potential kills or a clean up kill and 1 one shot (clean up as in you hit them twice) is dumb. And you get all of that off of one kill, so imagine how much you get for 3.

                                      • The special economy right now is the fairest it’s ever been across D1 and D2 so I don’t understand the complaints.... you get 1 ammo per pickup without a scav and 2 with. That’s pretty balanced if you ask me. You benefit with the more kills you get. Maybe be more aggressive and learn to play with those who swap between primary and secondary on the fly...
