Is there any good way to get this Sparrow besides doing just Spider Bounties? I know Heroic Adventures used to be a way but that's kinda out with the rest of the vaulted stuff. Does the Hollowed Lair strike still drop it? Is it better than the bounties? If anyone knows I'd appreciate it, thanks.

4 RepliesHey, I don't know if you still need this, but just in case you or anyone else who Googles this still wants to know... You CAN still farm Cayde's sparrow, "The Gambler's Palm" (as of 7/14/2021). Perform the following steps for the optimum farming method. I believe someone else discovered this, but it was not until I replayed this Forsaken mission that I remembered. Thank you, whoever you are. NOTE: Please skip to the end for some important information as to whether you can actually take advantage of this farming method. Farming method: Step 1: Replay the Legacy: Forsaken campaign up until the mission "Nothing Left to Say" where you hunt down Uldren at the Watchtower. Step 2: When the mission starts, run past all enemies until you reach the courtyard of the Watchtower where you enter the first darkness zone. Step 3: The Fanatic will spawn. If you have Witherhoard, hit him once then switch and shoot a rocket. (Note: Starting the mission will automatically give you two (2) rockets). Step 4: He will go immune and disappear. As he is doing this, two (2) sets of three (3) Scorn will start to spawn (one (1) to the left and one (1) to the right) in the center part of the courtyard. Shoot a Witherhoard shot, in each place, before the enemies fully spawn. Done correctly, you should kill them as they spawn in. Step 5: Wait a moment for the enemies to start spawning behind the blue barrier, then shoot a Witherhoard shot right in front of the doorway. They will all run to their deaths, save for two (2) invisible rifleman. Take them out and the Fanatic will spawn behind the barrier. Step 6: The Fanatic will grab you and start to pull you inside. WAIT until you are past the blue barrier then, before he lets go, shoot him with Witherhoard. Swap to your rocket launcher which should have one shot left. Then swap back to Witherhoard or finish him with your primary. Reward: He will drop one (1) legendary reward from the Baron loot pool. This includes: Terran Wind (grenade launcher), a piece of armor from the "Spoils of the Shore" set, Death by Scorn (sidearm), The Great Beyond (ship), and The Gambler's Palm (sparrow). The armor is COMMON, the weapons are UNCOMMON, and the sparrow and ship are RARE. (If you do not get the reward you'd like, proceed to step 7.) Step 7: IMMEDIATELY, take out your ghost and go to orbit. Then relaunch the mission WITHOUT resetting the checkpoint and you will be taken back to the courtyard, outside the Watchtower, and right to the start of the fight against the Fanatic. Step 7.5: Repeat steps 3-6. Conclusion and notes: Estimated time: It took me about 30 minutes, or so, to get the sparrow. Each attempt should only take about 2-3 minutes. Make sure you are above the enemies' light level, for optimum kill potential. Obtaining the quest: You can pick up the Legacy: Forsaken quest from the Quest Archive terminal near the Postmaster, in the Tower. Unfortunately, you will not be able to replay the Campaign if you have already done so, on your character, after the launch of Beyond Light. If you have no characters who can do this, you will have to delete a character and create a new one to take advantage of this farming method. (Before deletion, please check the terminal, just in case.) You should find the quest under the "Exotics and Legacy" section and the "The Past" subsection. Witherhoard: If you do not already have it, Witherhoard can be purchased from the Exotic kiosk, in the tower. Good luck farming and BE BRAVE, fellow guardians!!!
