Spoils of Conquest not dropping?
Hello everyone,
I just completed the Deep Stone Crypt raid for the first time this week (after weekly reset) on this character and didn't receive any spoils of conquest from the encounter chests. I managed to get 10 from each of the "secret" chests, but nothing from the actual encounters.
Saw some posts saying that it was a bug back in November/December and that Bungie knows about it, but I [i]also[/i] saw some posts saying that this was an intentional change to stop people from farming spoils of conquest, so that now only subsequent runs on the same character will drop spoils of conquest.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Or it's just another bug?

Ahh that's too bad! But i'm glad that's been cleared up now. At least I can still farm Spoils of Conquest on any subsequent runs on the same character, so that's something. Thanks for the replies and information everyone! Much appreciated :)

This is intentional. For the DSC raid, for your first pinnacle run, you will receive the respective loot specific to the raid, no spoils of conquest will drop from regular chests. Here are the sources in the DSC to gather them: - Complete a weekly challenge (5 spoils/challenge) - Secret chests (10 spoils/chest, up to 20 spoils per full run) - Encounter chests after your first run (5 spoils/encounter) Legacy raids (Last Wish and Garden of Salvation) drop 5 spoils of conquest per encounter completion.

Edited by EckyThump: 1/25/2021 1:31:34 AMI'm not sure about a bug, but what you experienced is correct, on your first run, regular encounter chests drop Pinnacle gear, and the secret chests drop 10 spoils each. On subsequent runs, the encounter chests drop 5 spoils each, the secret chests will not drop anything. I forgot if anything changed, you could, and still can 'farm' as many spoils as you want from replaying encounters so I'm not sure what the change could have been.

Hey, In the Deep Stone Crypt, Spoils of Conquest will only drop from Hidden and challenge chests during your first run each week with a class. Subsequent runs will give Spoils from encounter and challenge chests. Hidden chests, however, can only be looted once per week per class.
