Gilded titles are a joke.
Why the heck would I want to slap a roman numeral on my title , ya ruined gambit why would I wanna even redo ? Or any of the titles , nah this is just dumb asf

3 RepliesI don’t hate the concept, in fact when they floated around the concept some months ago I was quite thrilled. What I hate is the seasonal nature of it. Bungie really needs to learn that temporary cosmetics (and temporary stuff in general) are simply not rewards. Having a different colored title for a month is not a reward, having Trials armor glow for two weeks is not a reward, having Revelry armor glow only during the event is not a reward. Rewards like these must have some level of permanence or else they feel like massive wastes of time and resources. I should not look dope one day and then ugly the next. This kind of thing is naturally not going to be for everyone so if you see yourself thinking “why would I ever do that?” then it really isn’t for you. The problem I find is that I’m the exact kind of player this appeals to and I probably won’t touch it at all because of the temporary nature of virtually all the “rewards.”

Plus it’s well know that stat/kill trackers in this game constantly glitch out making your progress towards a title take a lot longer than they should. Getting 100 kills usually means get 300 kills. Compete 10 runs of this activity really means complete 20-25 runs. Bungie can’t program so have fun achieving your useless titles. I have gotten the platinum trophy for dozens of video games but I have not “earned” a single title in this game and I am incredibly proud of the fact. Lol!

Seems about on par with all that time they wasted on that stupid weather system for Europa no one gives a -blam!- about though. They are out of touch and get stuck on weird ideas for the game.

I don't understand the complaint here. Are they locking some kind of content behind the titles? Because if not then is it really hard just to you know....not do it? If other people want to do it or have fun grinding them every season then how does that affect you?

Personally I like the idea. It’s not like Bungie is taking away your seals, they’re just adding a bit more to the game for the no-lifes that play the game 24/7. And besides, this has no negative impact on you whatsoever. You don’t care about gilded titles? Then don’t get them. Simple as that.

4 RepliesThe only "good thing" about the gilding system is that you only need the base title once now. With the way it was set up before, your title would go away every season and you've have to regrind it along with everything else. Now you only have to get the title once, then gild it each season if you want to. Yeah, it's useless grind for people with elitist "show them online" syndrome, but that's what our Dear Director wants so it's what we suffer through.

Yea, I haven’t even equipped any of the seals I did get... not likely to grind em out again. But it doesn’t hurt players to have the option.? So people that do enjoy it have more to chase.

I look at it as a blessing in disguise that they expire every season...gives me zero reason to care. I rarely wear Conqueror anyway and I'd never equip Dredgen. I usually wear Rivensbane, Shadow or Harbinger anyway.

15 RepliesI don't have a titel neither do I care about them and probably never will get a title unless I completely something not knowing. I understand and respect people that value them as they are an achievement but to me titles are overrated. But thats just my opinion about the subject.
