PvE Hunter Exotic armor pieces.
Does anyone else not have a FAVORITE exotic piece for Hunters? For low level/intensity content, I have armor pieces that don't come off my Titan or Warlock but I haven't found that special piece for my Hunter.
Was thinking of trying to grind for pieces since I hit the level cap on all three characters.

Orpheus Rig used to be absolutely incredible, especially in Escalation Protocol. Guaranteed full super back. Then they nerfed it. Unless you had like, a thousand thrall, you’d only ever get back half. It’s still viable, but there aren’t a lot of horde modes worth doing, so there’s really no point using it. On the other hand, Ophidian Spathe running Way of a Thousand Cuts with maxed out strength and Monte Carlo or Travelers Chosen, and you have what I call, “The Knifey Boi”. Another good one to use are Stompies with maxed out discipline, running Revenant using glacier grenade and shatterdive. See a group of enemies, triple jump, throw a grenade, SLAM all the enemies are gone. Super fun in the Eclipsed Zones on Europa, cause you get the Stasis recharge buff.

Helm - Graviton Forfeit (just looks amazing), Celestial Nighthawk and Mask of Bakris Arms - Liar's Handshake (brokenly good for aggressive solo dungeoning) Legs - Stompees (because.... Stompees)

Dragons Shadow is pretty good. But ye hunters definitely lack neutral all subclass PvE exotics.

I live by the Assassins cowl. Healing and 10 seconds of invis for every finisher or charged melee kill keeps me alive in so many situations where i would otherwise be dead.

1 ReplyMy default now for everything is wormhusk . I'll spec other exotics into specific builds but most of the time wormhusk is the best neutral game exotic . I can spec into charge light or warmind builds for extra damage but wormhusk keeps my guardian alive in those clutch moments and it's on an 11 sec cooldown with an dodge reload which ties in really nicely

Gemini jesters I believe they blind enemies in pve and in pvp removing radar from opponents is infuriating for them to deal with especially if your team is well coordinated

Since I've converted to using Stasis most of the time on my Hunter, I've been swapping between Bakris and Sixth Coyote. But before that, Graviton Forfeit all the way for being invis as long as possible. Also it's my favorite helmet in terms of appearance

these are my current regular usage Shards of Galanor - for mayhem Bakris - for the dodge then arc damage Raiden flux - so I kill more in my super Shinobi's vow - double skip grenades on arc week, so good Celestial Nighthawk - Boss DPS Rigs - always need 'em Stompees - I hate these but sometimes you need them ( i want my bones of eao back)

Celestial Nighthawk is what Golden feels like it should be (for PvE) one big POWERFUL shot. So satisfying. Bale is is also prey good for PvE mainly in conjunction with other buffs such as Whisper of Hectors and High energy fire.

I refuse to play without the new hunter gauntlets. Too much fun.

I usually use Celestial Nighthawk but I've been using Young Ahamkara's Spine as part of a Warmind Cell build lately. It's amazing.

I feel like I needed to explain that over the last couple seasons, I got used to only having legendary armor pieces because I went with a full Solar Warmind Cell build. When Beyond Light allowed 4th slot mods on exotic pieces, I just didn't have one that felt as fun as Insurmountable Skullfort did on my Titan. I have picture related but just been wondering if there was a Hunter piece that I could try to get that makes normal play feel special enough to be worth masterworking/grinding for.

Personally I've always liked how Hunters had the trio of Raiden Flux, Orphaeus Rigs and Celestial Nighthawk (Bakris can be added to that list with Stasis) However, Rigs have been nerfed so many times that I personally haven't ran them in ages. My replacement for them has been surprisingly Wormhusk Crown. I find the quick health bump an absolute life-saver and I like how I can run any sub-class with them.

Frosties, they work really well with Whisper of Shards. You shatterdive then sprint and you get half your grenade back within seconds.
