I have basically tried every workaround there is to fixing this problem. Everytime that I land into a planet or match, Destiny 2 crashes saying there is something wrong with verifying the game files. I've tried this multiple times on Steam, have removed everything but the packages folder, moved the folder to my nvme drive, reinstalled steam, reinstalled Destiny, and everytime that I reinstall Destiny 2 and verify the game files it just installs 13.7 gigs of additional content. This has never happened before in my almost 2 years of playing Destiny, I have no fps issues, I tried ticking off the read-only setting in the game folder. I've tried the whole nine yards. I just want my game to work, and I'm considering doing a full wipe of my Windows Installation and starting fresh. There has to be some underlying problem with my system because every other game that I've tried running runs perfectly, it's just an issue with Destiny 2. This happens very randomly, and it's not really determined if I land into a planet or match because I will just play for a few minutes and then it will crash for me.

1 ReplyHello. You have a Windows error "AppHangB1". For the best experience, it is recommended that players update their drivers to their most recent versions, and accept any Windows updates that have yet to be applied before accessing Destiny 2 on PC. Here is some information which may help:
- Try disabling or not running any GPU utilities such as MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision. - Setting Destiny 2 and Steam to "Run as Administrator". - Setting an exception to your antivirus and removing Windows Firewall. - Here is an article which shows steps that might help you. - You may also want to update your OS and drivers.
You may also want to turn off your nvidia shader cache and try to play again.
